    Twists On "Sayings"

I get a kick out of sayings or quotes, and I also enjoy using some of them, although when they get too "common" I am not as willing to employ. For example, "it is what it is" has a lot of meaning packed into a short line, but trouble is, you could hardly go a day without hearing someone say it. I believe that one is so compact and loaded with meaning, that most of us jumped all over it......especially people in sports!! It definitely saves a lot of explanation.

Today I am going to offer a saying, and give it a twist. I will think of more I'm sure.

Saying: It's the journey, not the destination (note: you will find various versions of the same concept)

My twist: It's gotta be the destination, because I was drunk on the plane the whole trip

I'm sure you can do better!

I get most of my idiomatic expressions from this great man:

Most of his sayings are already twisted.

Saying: It Is What It Is

Twist: No It Isn't (which by the way is the most common argument that Pats fans offer, after they have been presented a multitude of facts)

    OR

Twist2: I Can't Think Of A Better Answer, So.....It Is What It Is

A bullet would be much easier to pass.
