[Mammoth] Home opener 1/10 @ 7 PM vs Calgary Roughnecks

    It's Mammoth season again.

They opened on the road last weekend, where they trounced Minnesota 20-13. They scored 11 goals in the fourth quarter, including John Grant Jr with two shorthanded goals in the span of 31 seconds. It was the most goals the Mammoth ever scored in a game, and they got shut out in the first quarter.

Saturday they play at home against the Calgary Roughnecks, their most hated rival. They knocked us out of the playoffs in overtime last season, and we will likely be fighting them for a playoff spot all year, so it's going to be a pretty big game.

If you've never been out to a game, I can't recommend it enough. Like hockey and arena football, it's a fine TV game, but you never truly understand what makes it great until you see it in person. The game will also be on Altitude, but nothing beats the in arena experience.

Well, it was another OT barn burner but the Mammoth came out on top last night. 17-16, John Grant Jr just calmly iced the game on his first shot in OT.

Three teams in the West make the playoffs, and the Mammoth are currently two games up on both the teams that finished ahead of them last season. For a two game start, things could not be going any better for our guys.

They're on bye next week, then the Vancouver Stealth come to town on January 24.

Mammoth destroyed the Vancouver Stealth, 20-9.

The 20 goals ties an all time high for the Mammoth, and that's the second time in three games they've tied that record.

Mammoth are now 3-0, only undefeated team left in the NLL at this early juncture in the season.

Mammoth are in Vancouver next Saturday night taking on the Stealth again.
