In that case, the Raiders will stick with a split front. Norton went to Seattle from USC with Pete Carroll. Good hire.

Let's take bets now: How long before the entire staff is fired and Art Shell brought back?

Clearly whatever issues the Raiders have extend beyond just Al. He seems to have passed his talent as mismanaging that team to his offspring, NOT that I am complaining, mind you.

    As you were, Raiders.

not sure what issues you are talking about. The Raiders are an up and coming team and, imo, will be contenders before very long....maybe in a year or 2.

CP bet with NVthosebroncos that Forrest Lamp will be a solid day 1 starter, barring injury

I remember watching Norton play for the Cowboys when I was young and remember how all of my Cowboys loving family hated him when he became a 9er. He was a helluva player.

    Hooray, beer!

Looks like a very good hire for the Raiders, like it or not. He and Del Rio will make it tough for any opposition they face.

Unfortunately a good hire for the raiders. Norton has done a fine job in Seattle, let's hope JDR will find some way to screw the defense up in spite of Norton
