And you certainly aren't the only one who came up with "cute nicknames."

OK, no more kidding around allowed.

Elway & Co. identified the guy they wanted and pulled the trigger on a plan to get him. It was decisive, well thought out and executed. I like it.

Ray is a great pick up. I just wonder why Manny Ramirez was so expendable. A starter and two draft picks is not chump change for a draft pick with possible issues and an injury. I think it's a little bit of a gamble but worth the risk.

LOL. I actually meant sacks, but I won't get into specifics as I think I'll get dangerously close to some CoC issues.

Was Manny going to be a starter? If he wasnt, he was an expensive backup. Denver created cap space, and parted with a 5th rounder. To get a top 10 rated player.

Good question, I thought he would start. But if not, I feel a lot better about the trade.

I highly doubt the team viewed Ramirez as a starter this year considering the OL already has so many question marks. My guess is the team saw him more as a back up or camp casualty so the fact that some team was willing to have him be a part of the trade was worth it. Ramirez really struggled this past year especially when asked to with zone steps. He is a guy that works well moving forward but that is about it. He just doesn't have the ability to move laterally like you want in the system that Kubiak likes to run.
