Well it's time for another season with Walt Weiss. My hopes are not up at all.

But we start every season in first place right? Just don't expect to see it again after tonight.

I'm really down right now with Tulo gone for good. Cargo and Arenado I can still root for. But I've always been a big shortstop guy and this is the first time in a long time I can remember not being excited about the Rockies shortstop. 5 years ago I would've loved Jose Rey. But the one we have is a shell of his former self.

Oh well. Let's just avoid 100 losses.

Story was money in spring ball, it might not be all bad.

I'll pencil them in for 95 losses. I see them reaching to the farm earlier than usual to try and have a somewhat competitive team next season. This season though will be just like the last 4.

Yes, there is always that early April optimism, but I feel it will be more of the same. The Rockies really didn't do anything to improve in the offseason and the only firepower on the team is Arenado.
