And every hit has still led to an RBI.

Leaving the stadium, loved watching the kid keep it going. Highlight was the Elway-Manning intros. Love opening day. Even here.

Pathetic... people need to stop filling coors field.

Culture will never change with this organization - no desire to compete, you need pitching to win/compete and we just dont have it.

Heck we cant even develop pitchers, look at the giants and dodgers with developing pitchers - they compete every year

Nice win today, good to see Bettis comeback with a solid outing and Cargo going back to back with Arenado and then later with Story!
I hope Hoffman, Gray, Freeland, and Sentazela get up here sooner than later.

Story is the perfect Rockies player. Hits bombs to get people paying and attending. Rockies will continue to pay their cash cows like Arenado,Cargo, and Story to cover up the fact they have no clue as an organization when it comes to pitching. But then again they don't care about winning. They clamor in the media they are hellbent on fixing the pitching but never do anything to fix it.

    3-3 people. Lay off.

I don't have any expectations either. But lay off while the team is at least .500 and has the lead ROY candidate at the moment.

Lay Off?? maybe when the team proves they can compete - fact is this organization has been pure garbage for years and until they prove me wrong im going to feel this way.

As for Story, i have no words left i havnt said before, he is unbelievable, but just like football needs Defence, Baseball needs pitchers and we simply do not have them.

I hope the Rockies prove me wrong, i really do.

That being said, nice showing from bettis, and the offense...
Have to say i was impressed with the young catcher behind the plate also

Lay off? Rockies gave up 32 runs to a team that did not score in its first 27 innings. Its not like this is a team coming off a pennant. The Rockies haven't been competitive since 2009.

Story has been fun for the week, but as a macro view I'm interested to see him going forward as pitchers adjust. Right now Story has been basically hitting it out or striking out. So in terms of becoming a complete hitter he still has room to grow. But has been a fun, historical start.
