My opinion, best heavyweight of all time. But more importantly, best entertainer and promoter we've ever seen. Some of the fastest hands and one of the toughest chins in boxing history. Defeated nearly every lineal champion 3 decades had to offer. From Floyd Patterson to Leon Spinks. Three time lineal heavyweight champ. Was NEVER knocked out. Only stopped once, by Larry Holmes after developing Parkinson's. Did all of this while having spent his prime years under suspension.

Was a political and civil rights activist outside the ring. A man who transcended ethnic barriers. His retirement from boxing left a void in the heavyweight division that is yet to be filled.

The greatest heavyweight boxer in the history boxing imo. From knocking Liston out with that phantom punch, to beating the unbeatable George Forman. As a youngster I owned a Ali VHS that came with my subscription of sports illustrated and watched it daily for a whole summer. The man was a pioneer, a trailblazer in not only boxing but life...

The only time I ever bet on a sporting event was when I put $5 on George Foreman to beat Ali back in high school. I figured it was a sure thing! Ali proved me wrong...GOAT indeed.

I feel lucky to be old enough to have watched this legend.

In the 70's he was almost a living Superhero.
