I'm concerned where the offense has gone the last three games. But as long as they are winning games I don't care how.

Yeah I think the offense will come around and we are still missing a couple strong pieces on offense in Dahl and Desmond. Pitching is the surprise and I'm loving it. I would rather have elite pitching (not saying we do) and just avg hitting but the good thing is our hitting will be above avg.

Noticed a huge difference between Weiss and Black. Black realized that LA was only down to Utley and the backup C on the bench and that Roberts couldn’t let Van Slyke (who only hits lefties) face a RHP in the 9th with the game on the line. So he sends Oberg out so that Roberts will send Utley out. Then once Utley is announced, Bud calls for McGee. LA is left with no option but to take the lefty-on-lefty matchup and McGee gets to face 2 out of 3 lefties in his inning. Gotta be a boost to his confidence and he comes in and dominates with 96/97 mph heat.

And he didn't have to touch Dunn, Ottavino or Holland. Brilliant job of managing the pen in a close game at Coors. I am already pleased with the manager change.

Last year it seemed like we were all scared to death about going into the final innings with a 1 or 2 run lead. That cant be healthy on the confidence. This year, so far things look different.

It was very cool that freeland got the start and won the home opener.

And 5-5 on save opportunities. The talk all last season was if we close even half the saves we blew we make the postseason.

So the closers are off to a great start instead of the usual 2-3 blown saves by now.

Looks like the Rockies got a steal in Holland. With a reliable closer the rest of the pieces fall into place.

When Desmond and Dahl come back if we can put it all together this team is going to grow up fast.
