Rome Not Built in a Day Mock game

Every year I do a "Rome not built in a day" mock. The basis of th mock is to fortify your foundation. For the game you can only draft/ mock guys for the defensive front 7, offensive line and inline tight ends! I can't think of a better year for it since we couldn't run or pass block or stop the run. Best Realistic Mock gets a CP! Here's mine:

    20: OT FORREST LAMP

    51: OT DION DAWKINS

    82: DE TANOH KPASSAGNON

    101: TE ADAM SHAHEEN

    126: DE DEMARCUS WALKER

    177: LB BEN BOULWARE

    203: NT D.J. JONES

    238: G BEN BRADEN

    252: G GREG PYKE

    253: C JAY GUILLERMO

I like the optimism but I strongly feel if Elway does not trade up or down, he will then go with the BPA over any LT or O-linemen at number 20.

So you don't think Lamp could be BPA?

Do you see a need for a RB on our team? Just curious. I'm always concerned that CJ is often injured or wants to be taken out of the game after a few series and we have Booker. Do we have any other RB on our team. Sorry, can't remember.

I do. I want Mixon in the 2nd, and wouldn't be opposed to taking him at 20 actually. But this little game doesn't call for a RB.

This is a "Rome Built In a Day" Mock Draft. You can only select D-front 7, OL, and inline TEs.

Would he be available at 20? And if so who else is available at 20 next to him?

Drafting an offensive line men that's going to take at least a couple years to develop could set the franchise back a few years that's why they have to go with the best player available in my opinion.

In all likelihood he will be available at 20. We won't know who else is until draft day.

And where did you get him being a couple years out? I haven't heard 1 pundit say he is a project player. All I have heard is how well he performed against top competition i.e Alabama. He is versatile as well as in he could play OT and OG. The only complaint is have heard is his arm length. Some have said he has shorts arms and may need to move to OG. In the event that holds true he would slide into RG and we would have a dominant interior OL.

Is Eddie Vanderdoes athletic enough to play a single gap penetrating 1 technique? I don't see him playing a 3 or 5 technique.

Then make a mock Sam with a DT or DE being drafted in the first , Lord knows we need them also!

I think he could play anywhere on the line honestly. From his senior bowl tape he looks pretty darn athletic.
