Not sure how I feel about this. I don't know how much he has left in the tank. He was always tough and strong but he'll need some of that acceleration, speed, and agility to be an impact player this year. It's 50/50 for me on whether I'd rather give reps (and a roster spot) to one of the younger guys.

The Chiefs forums are sort of funny right now.

Though there are some people there who see the bigger picture. Charles may have some gas in the tank but the Chiefs traded up to get a young RB. At that moment, Charles' days were numbered.

One of the nice aspects of Charles' game is his versatility not only as a runner, but as a receiver and willing blocker as well. So when Charles comes into the game, there's no tip off to the defense as to what type of play might be called, all options are open making it that much harder for the defense to account for. Hopefully, he can teach a thing or two to our young backs such as Booker and now Henderson along the way.

So are we looking at a RB depth of Anderson/Booker/Charles/D Henderson?

More like Charles, Anderson, Booker, Henderson. I actually think Henderson may be more productive than booker.

I think that you are asking way too much of the guy like that.

Considering that Hillman was the Broncos leading rusher season before last, I'd have to agree.

Considering the wear and tear to RBs in general and the injury histories of Anderson and Charles I am pretty happy with the potential depth of Booker and Henderson.

They very well may be the tandem finishing the season.

Having mixed feelings about trusting in Charles' sustained health. Rooting for him to remain productive all season. Not liking the odds he actually does. Exciting to think about the possibilities if he can though.

At the moment I would think Janovich is on the roster. If no one gets injured in camp it would leave Thompson and Pierce as the odd men out, wouldn't it?

So when he visited did he come in and run drills or was it just contract negotiations and a physical? I remember awhile back when TO was trying to get a contract he held something like a pro day to show he still had it athletically. I was wondering if Charles did the same but on a private level.
