Yes thatís what I read too. But they still have to sign DJ apparently because the article referenced that we anticipate losing him.

Yeah dj wants a 3 year deal I believe - but I hope not resigning him is for the lone reason of wanting to get Nolan signed

I would think we could afford to sign both. Itís just a matter of will we be too cheap to do it.

The pitching came leaps and bounds a year ago. We added an offensive weapon to our possibly worst ever offense last year. We canít afford to let one of our better hitters walk. They need to pony up for both so next year we can actually win a playoff game.

I wonder if itís the years of the deal. Colorado could easily give him 30 million for five years. But these mega deals are like 8 to 10 years. I wouldnít give him that much for that long.

I saw three years $27 mil. Thatís a pretty hefty salary for a reliever.

Oh I donít disagree we shouldíve paid him. Our best reliever and the moron ownership wonít shell out to keep this team contending. I just meant itís not a small salary for a reliever.

I was kind of hoping the Rockies could take that next step this year with some improved offense. But now we literally have no one in the pen we can trust.
