We also needed a lefty reliever, I just don't think one extra bullpen arm was enough

They got an offensive weapon that has kickstarted their offense lately. Something Escobar i think it was.

Blondie i agree one reliever isnít enough but you have to remember we already blew $104 million on 3 other bum relievers. At some point they canít keep blowing space on relievers.

One other note: Man Gray has been lights out since rehab. Itís funny the pen is so bad that our team ERa rates near the bottom of the league. But starting pitching wise this is probably the best rotation in team history.

ESPN lists the Rockies as one of 3 teams who may have lost the World Series at the trade deadline. Said after what the Dodgers added and us adding nothing but a 36 year old reliever "Do they want to win or not?".

Since we currently stand at only 1/2 game back.

That's how I felt too however looking through some of the trades prices were high and rockies never like to give up prospects I kinda get it, but at same time I want to win. Who knows how long rockies window is

They were in a precarious position. They had a great month of July both pitching and hitting. That team could contend with anyone in a series if they sustain THAT kind of success. I wanted a lefty closer and that was it. Hopefully the Dodgers additions take a while to find their footing. And hopefully the Rockies have found a sustainable game. They have looked real sharp as of late.
