The 49ers just cut him in February for an arrest on domestic violence. As soon as his GF didn't show up to court, charges were dropped? At least that's what I've read. As soon as they were dropped, Broncos scooped him up.

If this dude is our 3rd corner, then we are in trouble.

He played for the Vikings last season.
In 2016, he started all 16 games for the 49ers with 59 combined tackles, 14 passes defended, 1 interception, and 1 forced fumble. In preseason 2017 he signed with the Seahawks, THAT was after his domestic violence charge was dismissed, they traded him to the Vikings in September 2017 and he played in 11 regular season games and 2 playoffs for the Vikings and is now a Bronco via FA.

He actually started in 31 games thru 2016, 17 and has 11 career INTs. It is a one year deal for 4M, don't know any more than that right now, but if it is not guaranteed and he doesn't make the team ... no harm. Looks like good competition at the least ... 4M is a little high though.

It isn't a bad signing. If nothing else, he has starting experience and can add depth to a depleted secondary. He doesn't replace Roby's production as Roby is now moved to take over Talib's spot, but he's depth at a position we are lacking depth.

With incentives, Tramaine Brock's one-year deal is worth up to $4M.

    An incentive deal, even better

He's got some athleticism and isn't a bad CB. Nothing great either.

Sounds like a Darian Stewart type signing. Seems hes stout against the run and can cover his man. Still in his prime and not much of a cap hit. Insurance.

He was in PFF top 25 CBs list at this time last year.

Personal life impacted his last 12 months.

Hopefully he can redeem himself now.

Brock was PFFs 9th ranked CB in 2013. He missed most of 2014 with injury and in 2015 he was ranked 36th and got up to 19th in 2016. Hes been a solid CB for much of his career, not sure why the Vikings didnt play him over guys like Trae Waynes and Terrence Newman
