I really should try and complete my Official World Cup sticker album. Only 75 stickers to go!

Looks like Salah was benched for today's opener. And Egypt lost a heartbreaker in the final minutes.

I'm unable to watch the games at work this morning but holy cow! An 89th minute winner by Uruguay followed by a 95th minute win by Iran. What the heck is a 0-0 game doing having 5 minutes of stoppage time anyway?

    Yes, I'm disappointed about that.

Cristiano Renaldo of Portugal scores all 3 in a 3-3 tie with Spain. What a great tying goal on a free kick!!! Perfect shot!!

    His legacy goes on......

This may be the tournament where he has a legitimate argument against Messi. He earned Portugal a very much needed point today.

That match was insane. A point is a point but I felt we let it slip away. Ronaldo is too good.

If the South American teams are anything like the Central American teams, and Chile, they need 5 minutes of stoppage time because those teams spend at least that amount of time rolling around on the ground and writhing in agony whenever the slightest hint of contact may have looked like it happened.

I know Canada sucks at soccer, but I loved watching a Canada/US soccer game several years ago because there was absolutely no diving or rolling around. Both teams just went out and played, and if a player went down it was a sure bet that it was a foul, and the player was getting up and getting ready for play to begin again.

Speaking of which, I have had the pleasure of watching The US/Canada women here in a friendly, and it was very good. Ended up 1 to 1.

Australia played France tougher than i expected. That game was too early for me to catch on a Saturday.

This Argentina and Iceland game is the first one Iíve been able to actually watch. Iceland is game for the monumental upset so far in the 52nd minute. Even a tie would be an upset.

Tough luck at the end for Peru. Had several scoring chances but couldnít finish. And to have the whistle blow right before an in bound pass deep in Denmark territory had to be frustrating

    Yay for the little nations.
Amazing what they're doing with their football team both in the Euros and now the WC opener.
Not bad for a nation that has only the 10th of the population of Wales!
