This, plus he was hired to turn the program around and make Michigan competitive.
Yea he loss to Ohio St. again I mention Michigan has never played State under Harbaugh with a healthy team and as Humcalc said, refs screwed Michigan.

The whole thought that Harbaugh is overrated is nonsense. If anything he has over achieved by turning a trainwreck into something competitive, which has also had a top rated defense since he became head coach.

With that up until now, Harbaugh has been experimenting at QB to find the right guy for his offense. Shea is the best he has had to work with.

I'm not only referring to his time at Michigan. I'm including his time at Stanford as well as his tenure with the 9ers. He is an above average coach. But he isn't elite like the media makes him out to be.

The media doesn't make him out to be anything. They rarely talk about him unless Michigan gets a big win or lose. He led the Niners to a Super Bowl. He turned a team that was one of the worst teams in the league into a Super Bowl contender. He turned Alex Smith into a decent QB. He turned Colin Kaepernick into a decent QB.

Ever since Harbaugh, the Niners became bad again. Colin productivity went down, so much so he got benched for Blaine freaking Gabbert.

Sounds to me like Harbaugh deserves any praise he does get.

Barring a momentum killing power outage, he might be a super bowl running coach. Barring bad calls, an idiot punter, and the existence of Nick Saban, he might have more successful as a college coach.

I fail to understand how he is overrated when he has accomplished what he has, with what he has had.

I find it hilarious you keep mentioning Saban when he canít even reach the playoff for that to matter. He keeps losing games he shouldnít.

Sure his one loss is to Notre Dame this year so they are still in the hunt. But they always lose one game they shouldnít. Granted no one will say they shouldnít have lost to Ohio st but if they do lose again itís another year with no playoffs.

You are not going to sell me that Michigan expectations arenít playoffs. Trash four years ago or not.

Not trying to sell you on anything, nor do I care if mentioning Saban is comedic too. My only point is calling Harbaugh overrated is asinine.

Iím calling him over rated because he always has two games a year he loses that he shouldnít. But honestly so far this year he hasnít had that second one that I figured he would by now. At the time I thought the Notre Dame loss was a bad loss but two months later itís the best loss anyone has.

Iím not going to take it back yet but if they keep up the current quality of football I am starting to believe they can avoid that second loss to Ohio st. If they do that theyíll make the playoff and Iíll take it back.

I thought he was going to have that loss he shouldnít have against Sparty but they cleaned it up late.

Honestly my own coach Gus is the most overrated in college sports anyway.

Donít worry. If they continue to play like this they will lose at West Virginia in two weeks.

    Here's my wish list:

    LSU wins out
    FLA wins out
    MICH wins out
    Clemson loses at least 1
    GA loses at least 1
    ND loses at least 1
WV loses next week, and then beats OK
    Washington loses at least one
    Colorado wins at least 1

    Michigan WINS IT ALL!

Penn State gets burned to the ground

    I doubt this happens though
