I was stunned. Assumed the win streak would come to an end. Another tough one tonight at home vs the pens. Win that and they’ll be in real good shape in the West all of a sudden.

The last two wins over Nashville and Pittsburgh show that the Avs are even better than they were last year. MacKinnon is dominant. Rantanen is getting better on a daily basis. And the young guys (Jost, Compher, Girard, and Kerfoot) have taken a step up. Makar will be joining the Avs as soon as his college season is over. AND we will get Ottawa's 1st Round Draft Choice, which is likely to be a Lottery pick.

Now watch for the physical attacks by opponents on MacKinnon. Just as happened to Forsberg.

I got to see both games and watching them right now is so much fun. They have great chemistry. Keep in mind they havent had barrie for the past couple of games. I wish i could take the fam to the lightning game next month but bad timing with Christmas coming up.

Anyone know why big Z has been in the dog house? He had a whopping 7 hits last night. I hope we keep him

It was an especially good game for St. Louis, who are already 14 Points behind the Avs so early in the season, and currently reside in the cellar of the Central Division. St. Louis unleashed their "Goon Squad" to physically intimidate the Avs. And it worked. Look for every team we face in the future to use the same tactics against the Avs.

Ej didnt deserve to get ejected against st louis. He glided, kept his elbow tucked and never left his feet. It may have worked out for the best as we got a point and st louis is competing against ottowa.

Refs past 2 games though have been horrible. With that being said im glad avs are facing teams now that are physical with them as they need to figure out how to deal with it.

There were quite a few posters on the hf boards that were pissed as detroit fans were wanting bertuzzi to injure mac
