Agreed, given Keenum's salary implications the odds are he'll be on the team next year.
My unpopular plan would be:
Draft vacant RT spot, empty RG spot and maybe a swing tackle? (3 OLmen)
Draft speedy WR/RB type to compliment Lindsay.
Draft cover LB.
Draft late round QB for backup duties.
Set the line for future franchise QB and under Keenum switch to a run-heavy offense.
May we skip this season and start the draft already? lol
You all know my stand on Nick Mullens so I will Bump It LOL !
Once again I am on This Train !
I expect every day to hear we worked out a trade for him. We have his an coach here. It seems inevitable
Adopted Broncos: Garett Bolles
Wait, I'm confused... is Chad playing the role of Nick Mullens evil twin?
Let's remember that Kittle was the one who made Mullens look good.
The qb rating of 54 is simply just the same thing as all our other sub par starters.
Speaking of chad . How likely do you think he gets resigned and he comes out and says he was in rehab ect... his court date is coming up I believe.
Considering none of the remaining 31 teams have had him to work out of even expressed any interest in him since he was cut we can he's either burned his bridges or those willing to take the risk are waiting on the outcome of the court case before anything.
If the kid is serious about wanting to play he needs to take a big step and show responsibility and maturity and that isn't just posting videos showing him going through QB drills - he should get himself in to a program and be public about it. I believe he could spark some interest from teams if he would take proactive steps and not wait as a last resort.
Do I think he is better than Keenum? Possibly. He performed better than expected, but let's not forget that Keenum also showed he can be decent in a good system.
In any case, I'm tired of these backups being given the keys. I want to draft for the future and I think that Keenum would be a better mentor given his experience.
