    Game Over...

Evidently the Broncos have released Pac Man Jones. I wonder if this means we'll see Brandon Langley or someone else as a possible returner, since I don't remember seeing Jones on the field much on defense the last couple of games.

When given the snaps, he looked a better corner than Brock. His pass breakup against Hopkins vs the Texans gave the Broncos a shot to win.

It would be unwise to draw such a strong conclusion on a player after only a few games in his rookie year.

I bet you we are, considering it's already been reported..

Sounds like they want to give the young guys the reps for the remainder of the season.

Perhaps he's a player that's gotten better since the last time we saw him? Also with Jones not being used much on D (Simmons moved to corner in the dime package this week) Langley gives them depth on Special Teams that Jones didn't provide for them, outside of being the PR.

With Jones gone, it creates an opportunity for a former failed draft pick Brendan Langley. Langley, a third-rounder in 2016, could not gain traction as a rookie, exposed in a game against the Raiders following Aqib Talib’s ejection. The Broncos cut Langley in training camp after the arrival of rookie Isaac Yiadom.

However, Langley has progressed on the practice squad this season, and the club is looking to develop young depth alongside Chris Harris Jr. with the expectation Bradley Roby will not be re-signed as a free agent.
Strange timing for such a move, when they are allegedly still trying to make a playoff push.

They probably understand that no playoff push is imminent and if one miraculously does happen, our QB play and coaching will piss it away.

I'm not sure that they think so though. They probably felt that the opportunity to let the young CBs get more playing time outweighed the chances of making playoffs. Already they've had a dropoff in Jones' usage, so they've already been adjusting to life without him. Jones' ability to return punts was his main draw aside from playing corner, which we've seen he really hasn't been doing a good job at. However now we are extremely young now at CB with Langley and Yiadom a guaranteed 3rd CB. Bradley Roby is probably going to miss next week, meaning Roethlisberger's slot receiver is matched up against one of the younger CB's. Not the biggest fan of this move knowing who we face next week.
