If he hasn't gotten a second shot yet, it's hard to see it happening. He wasn't some highly touted prospect that everyone wanted out of college. He was the last pick of the draft. He was passed over by every single team multiple times int he draft. He was passed over by every single team when he was put on waivers. And he was passed over by every single team when futures contracts were handed out. If he was going to be signed it would likely have happened by now.
His future is likely in the AAF, XFL or CFL. Go get some game experience, prove you can play, prove you can stay out of trouble, earn a chance.
If NFL teams thought as highly of him as some fans on this board, he'd have gotten another chance. Hunt may have done something worse, but he's also shown he can play at the NFL level, which is why Cleveland signed him. Kelly was a middling prospect who torched his bridge. He needs to go play in another league to show that he can play and that he can stay out of trouble.
I doubt it had anything to do with Elway's pride then or now. I would love to see Kelly get another shot, heck we need qb help badly. But Chad didn't just blow it with the FO. He did what he did in front of all his teammates I think he lost the respect of his teammates QB is not a postion you can have without the respect of your teammates. I truly believe that was why he was let go then and why he can't be brought back. Too bad, cause I had high hopes.![]()

Exactly!
If we look back we have had a ton of backup QB's and late round draft picks that have been praised as the next big thing. None of these have done even close to as well as Trevor Siemian if/when they got a chance. Chris Simms got a lot of love behind Orton, and bombed in the two games he played in. Brady Quinn was the hot one that should be better than Tebow, and he went 1-7 the next year in KC. Tom Brandstater was going to be the next big thing. Bradlee Van Pelt was going to be hot and lets not forget Zac Dysert!
Personally I really like how Nick Foles interacts with his teammates. He has adequate physical skills, the experience and the leadership to take us all the way, and frankly is seems like Keenum and Foles could be a good team.
Apparently a washed up bridge quarterback was the future Broncos QB
Jarrett Stidham has the potential. He was ascending as a potential 1sf round pick after the 2017 season. He took a step back in 2018 with issues surrounding play calling control between the OC and HC. There will be a team that sees his value, probably by the 3rd round.
At least that washed up SB MVP can get the the ball to his receivers on time when he sees them open. A huge problem for Keenum is that he free receiver he throws to is covered by the time the ball gets there. The week 3 battle this year was not stellar QB performance on either side, but Denver would definitely have won if we had swapped QBs
Defenses cannot stack the box with Joe Flacco unless they have two elite cover corners, and Joe can easily be the difference between a 6 win and a 10 win season, and he still has the quality required to go all the way
