Their FO wouldn’t do that to Mayfield! Wow pretty sad when you think about it if you catch my drift.

I do. And don't bet on it. VJ was pretty persuasive when he interviewed with Denver. And I would bet he will lay the blame for his two seasons here on the fo while making himself out to be better than his record here indicates. Case in point, Elway wanted to fire VJ after season one, pretty much had Shanny hired and Joe Ellis over-ruled the hire.

I think that the only way VJ is hired by the Browns is if their Dorsey and the new coach releases Williams and they hire VJ as the DC

Possibly. I am sure the only reason they interviewed him is the Rooney Rule BUT I can hope.....can't I????

Why wouldn't he be recruiting Miller?

Elway opened the door with his comments about considering all options, even Miller. That and the fiasco that is the ownership, questionable FO decisions.and coaching turnstyle. situations. Even advertisers will not attach their names to the stadium. Broncos are floundering and Miller and the other vets are very likely looking for better situations anyway.

Until Elway and Co can show the ability to fix the problems I do not blame them either.

What he meant was, the Browns do not hate Mayfield to the degree that they would hire VJ as his hc... 😂

I swear some of y'all would be angry if they hung you with a new rope. The Browns haven't been relevant since 1964 so maybe they're due, however...

Elway and Co have accounted for the winning culture in Denver for decades. Using the Browns as some kind of metric for a successful management template is beyond ridiculous. They drafted top ten forever and were bound to crawl out of the cellar at some point. By next year DC's will start figuring out the media darling wonder boy and we'll revisit his #1 draft pick stock.

Elway will get this figured out... Lest some forget!

If we don't win more than we lose next year, it will begin to crumble the foundation of the team. For one, because those good vets may well be more interested in looking elsewhere rather than sign an extension with us and, two, because Elway will see he has to shake things up on the roster. The optimist in me says, I hope that happens because it will force the hand of Elway to go get some players as he did when he first took over but the pessimist in me says this will just lead to more head coach firing and buck passing.

    They’re both A&M alumni. I wouldn’t read into it.

I also wouldn't read a lot into it as they are friends and I'm sure that kind of banter goes on all the time.
I was struck by the difference in size of Garrett vs Von. Garrett makes Von look like a CB

Not sure how my post fits with your response, but ok. I never discussed the Browns or their potential next year.

I would like nothing better then for the Broncos to turn it around and get back to being considered a contender again.

My point is that the past glories have little to do with today’s issues. Broncos have concerning issues of stability of every layer of the organization from ownership to roster depth. Only one consistent remains to be the fanatical fan base.

The discussion of a rebuild is being openly discussed by fans, media and most importantly Elway. Depending on how they choose to do it we may very well see the Bronco marquee vets traded or preferring going to a contender. Including Miller.

I will be disappointed if the model they choose to rebuild is a complete gut for picks. Unless things start working from the top down it could easily get ugly in Denver over the next couple seasons.

Elway and Co have work to do!

    It did?

No, seriously this isn't any kind of serious news.

Or? Maybe it is lol. I'd like to know who the head coach is before Garrett trades for Miller. Lol
