I think Kubes could have been a great match with Fangio. He is tough on players and demands discipline. His offenses are really good when that's all he focuses on.
That being said, he clearly can't hold his assistants accountable in the same way he holds players accountable. So I'm glad this didn't work out.
To everyone saying "zomg...Elway will noob up the draft without Kubiak!"
Seems pretty obvious that Elway learned his lesson. Before he was indexing on combine measurables and upside, now he's focusing on performance and maturity. Paid off in spades in this draft. I hope Kubiak helps, but I think Elway and the revised scouting department are filtering for the right things now.
Does this mean that Elway is going to pick the next QB once again? YIKES!
I’m glad Elway took a stand and wants to move forward and not just get the old failed gang together.
I do wish Kubiak would stay in a front office role.
Drew is certainly no "Lock" imo to be a good QB in the National Football League:

Kyler Murray anyone?
That would be fantastic if John could stay out of it and allow his coaches to make their preferred choice there! Not assuming John would want Lock over Jones but we all know how John feels about the strong armed flashy QB, however I feel there is a world of difference between Lock, Osweiler and Lynch!

Bradley Chubb has an Aaron Donald type ability to disrupt and wreck games!

Elway has been to 4/5 Drew Lock games this year...all you need to know. He’s tall “with a rocket arm”.
Please...Drew Lock is the pick. Paxton Lynch part deux?
