    That doesn't seem very educational.

It's one thing to think that way once your eliminated from the playoffs but before the season begins is mind boggling. No matter who we have as players I always hope they do well . For instance , hopeing a player fails and thinking a player will fail is 2 different things . I didnt like the Keenum signing but I wanted him to prove me wrong . My #1 hope as a fan is that we win the superbowl or at least be competitive. People have their own predjices whether its racial, religion, style, or anything that's different from themselves. The Broncos are bigger then my desire to be right .

ear2dastreetz has been saying this since last year too when we took chub instead of lamar jackson lol

But if that is his opinion all you can do is disagree. I was not thrilled with the Lock pick either but I get the FO reasoning behind it. I also think that Flacco is going to have a better year then most expect. That is not because i am hoping that Lock fails, just think he is not ready yet. He may be the better athlete but IMO not the better NFL QB yet. I am optimistic that Flacco will provide the element most lacking from the Broncos offensive side of the ball for a few seasons now. Veteran leadership.

IMO the train would have to seriously jump the tracks for the Broncos to be in position to draft #1. Don't see it happening. Actually think they will be a borderline playoff team. Having Flacco/ Lock tandem for the next couple seasons will be a solid situation. My biggest concern is impatience and a QB controversy based on politics more then performance.

We shall see. Until then a contrary opinion is just that, an opinion.
Trying to understand why the Denver Broncos do what they do provides an opportunity to learn something.

Hindsight indicates Elway goofed with the decision to draft Osweiler. He redeemed himself by not overpaying him even though Brock helped get to SB 50. Oz was given a second chance and didn't do much with the opportunity.

Siemian turned out to be a good 7th round pick, and Denver got a lot of starts from him. Elway traded him along with a 7th to Minnesota and got a 5th in return.

Drafting Paxton Lynch was a result of a lack of due diligence. Releasing him last year was the best outcome of a poor decision in that it was done with lessons learned.

Mr. Irrelevant was a cheap experiment that came close to being tested. No real repercussions there.

Case Keenum was an affordable acquisition who didn't follow up on his one good season. After one season, Elway sent Case to Washington along with a 7th and got a 6th in return. He had traded a 4th for Flacco.

This year, Denver conducted what some reporters consider to be the most extensive study of QBs available in the Draft. Most mock drafts had Denver taking Lock at #10. Instead, Elway traded back and took two players before trading back up to get Lock at #42. That plus signing Rypien as an UDFA puts Denver's QB situation in way better shape than last year.

I was hoping for more O-Linemen in the draft, but think Elway & Co. upgraded the team with what they did in trades, the Draft and free agency. Many concerns will be settled when we see what the new coaching staff puts on the field. Those who are truly interested in the Broncos will be watching.

June 1st cuts could add for some more depth along the O-line, D-line and perhaps ILB.

Iíll definitely be watching closely and oh yeah just a quick tidbit, Both Elway and Kubiak were acquired In the same off season just as Lock and Rypien. Just saying!

I got my money on Ear2thestreets coming back next year with Tua being his target for tradeup. He definitely has his type of QB as Denverblood pointed out. With only 6 picks, I think we knocked this draft out of the park. Wouldn't have minded a CB, NT, or a burner WR. I was really high on Mecole Hardman...but didn't think he would go in the 2nd. I'm just glad some NFL teams had him rightly so ahead of Riley Ridley. If we can just get Harris locked up on maybe a 3 year extension putting him on a 4 year deal from here on out, I think we have the makings of a solid 7-9 --- 10-6 team. And that is with very good core of players to build on. I also think that we should be looking at LT next year if Bolles doesn't catch on...because I think he would make a superb G. With him and the possibility of Risner locking up the other Guard spot, we could save some money in moving on from Leary's last year and have Bolles replace him and go look for our future LT for Lock in next years draft.

You know Iíve also been assuming all the roster upgrades plus hopefully better coaching will translate to more wins. But all these premature 2020 mock drafts are coming out with a lot of people assuming we will still suck.

I would ignore most but McShay didnít do his in personal opinion of how the season will go. He said he used PFf order based on roster changes, staff changes , strength of schedule and many other variables. And they have us being the 3rd worst team in the league!! I couldnít believe it. I feel like thatís a bit absurd. I think most analysis assumes we will be swept by both San Diego and KC based on last year. But I think we could easily win all 3 home games in the division this year.

Just wondering if weíre all a little over optimistic about our team compared to most neutral analysis.

We may not be as far from Tua as people would think.

I saw that too, in his Way Too Early Mock. I really would be VERY surprised if we were the third worst team in NFL. Obviously anything can happen...but I think our roster is much better going into next year and we have a good balance of older coaches and newer coaches. And I like how our O has the younger coaches and D has the older coaches. But I have to admit....I would LOVE to have Grant Delpit.

I don't know about 3rd worst team in the league... I see us at 6-8 wins this year, but when you have one of the 5 worst starting QBs in the league, I suppose anything is possible.

    Broncos Waive Garrett Grayson

Garrett Grayson QB, Unsigned Free Agent
    Broncos waived QB Garrett Grayson.

The 2015 third-round pick has never attempted a regular season pass. Getting cut at this stage of the offseason bodes poorly for his future "camp arm" odds
