      Sure. In the 2018 season playoffs:

      Philly beat Chicago 16-15;
      Seattle lost to Dallas 22-24;
      Indy beat Houston 21-7;
      LAC beat Baltimore 23-17;
      Eagles lost to Saints 14-20;
      Rams beat Saints 26-23 in OT;
      Pats beat the Rams 13-3.

      There were several other games with higher scores, but the trend in the 2018 playoffs seems to have been defensive control of the scoreboard. The highest scoring team lost at home in the AFCCG and the second highest scoring team lost in the Super Bowl. Good Defense is about discipline and mental toughness to overcome big offensive plays by the opponent. As such, it's as much mental as it is physical. The basis of good Defense is stopping/inhibiting the opponent's rushing attack.

        I am glad we got the coaching staff we did. Not because of their expertise on the defense...tho that definitely helps...but I really like how Vic is focused on the fundamentals, teaching, details (death by inches) as well as his take on what a balanced offense is. I think Vic will have more to offer the offense that most defensive minded head coaches.

        To oversimplify the roles of defense and offense in the playoffs imo...

        The defense will give the team a chance to win

        The offense will score the points to win (most of the time)

        As was shown in the Super Bowl...it is cool to keep the Pats down to 13 points but if your offense can only manage 3 points than that team will still lose in the Big Game.
