2nd team O-Line would probably be something like: Wilkinson (7 starts); Jones; Brendel; Barclay; Rodgers. Brendel and Barclay have injury concerns. Jake Brendel was undrafted in 2016 and ended up on Miami's PS and to the roster by the end of the season. He was available all of 2017 with no starts. He started 2018 on IR, came off it in November for three starts and went back on IR to end the season. He was coached by Chris Kuper. Don Barclay (25 starts) missed 2014, 2018 and most of 2017 due mostly to injuries. He was drafted in 2012 by Green Bay and is 30. Jake Rodgers was drafted by the Falcons in 2015 and has been on the PS of seven teams the past four years, including Pittsburgh a couple of seasons, where he was coached by Mike Munchak.

If 1st and 2nd teams above are close, 3rd team O-Line might be something like: Bailey; Schlottmann; Falah; Leglue ("the glue"?); Wallace.

The biggest question between 2nd and 3rd team is who will be Swing Tackle? Ideally you want Swing Tackle to be able to come in and play either side with no shuffle. O-Line coaches' rule-of-thumb is start your best five and shuffle them to their best spots. If one of the five can't go, bring in #6 and reshuffle, if necessary.

If Risner provided depth at RT, it would involve as many as two or three shuffles depending on what happened. The only guy I can see who is a possibility for ST is Elijah Wilkinson, but that remains a TC project which will need to unfold. They might re-sign Jared Veldheer (113 starts split between LT & RT) who will be 32 when the season starts. He could play either side.

There will be floating between 2nd and 3rd team along with shuffling, but may not include Wilkinson and Jones who have some versatility. Schlottmann might get shuffled around a lot as he can play most O-Line spots. Falah can play the inside spots. Barclay and Brendel have some experience, but need to stay out of the training room. Munchak knows Rodgers, so where he lines up and on what team will be indicative.

Denver will keep eight or nine O-Linemen on the roster and several on the PS for a total of at least eleven. I hope everyone keeps it undramatic except for Dalton's search for syrup for all the pancakes he will flip.
Something to think about is that it's possible that Risner plays OC and McGovern plays RG, assuming that is the starting 5. McGovern is currently listed at OG. Risner is listed at OL. McGovern played 3 years at RG in college and they might move him back.

I agree at ST. Wilkinson is the only other player I could see being put in there and I question his ability to play OT. He did ok at OG last season. If he is the ST and Risner plays OC, that would require 3 moves due to an ijury to an OT. Risner to OT, McGovern to OC, and Wilkinson to OG. Now what if this happens...Leary can't go so Wilkinson comes in at LG. Then who do they have as backups?

I know that this would not have been as exciting for most fans, but man I was really hoping we were going to go back to back OL when the trade up happened. Erik McCoy would have been a fantastic addition and with Leary (cap casualty) McGovern (FA) maybe gone next year, think that would have galvanized the OL beyond this year.

Easy to get excited about grooming a QB, but really think McCoy would have been a big contributor this year.

The way I see our line right now:
LT Garrett Bolles / Juwan James
LG Ron Leary / Sam Jones
    C Connor McGovern/ Jake Brendel
RG Dalton Risner / Don Barclay
RT Juwan James / Eli Wilkinson

Overall I like it better than last year, depth wise. Wilkinson and Barclay have starting experience at Tackle and guard. Biggest concern is at center. I do believe Munchak will get the most out of this group.

Adding Risner is a huge upgrade. Denver looks much better on o-line compared to last several years we finally have good depth and good players.

It depends on who #6, #7, #8 and #9 (if there is a #9) are and who suits up on game day. Let's say, for the sake of discussion that, besides the starters, Wilkinson, Jones, Brendel and Barclay are on the roster. Of those guys, you'd probably activate Wilkinson and Brendel, an inside guy and a ST. We'll watch what they do in preseason with Wilkinson. The problem can be solved by signing Veldheer. Elway must address the contract situation with Chris Harris first. Maybe after that, he can re-sign Veldheer. Jared is a vet, so there is no great hurry at the moment.

agreed. Another, unlikely, option is they pick up someone from another team at final cuts

Of those backup guys, the biggest question is Don Barclay. He didn't play last year and not for much of 2017. I don't think we would want to see him at either Tackle spot. Too bad there wasn't enough cap space to re-sign Billy Turner. Like you, I think Mike Munchak and Chris Kuper will figure it out. Re-signing Veldheer would take care of it IMO. I think he'd be a good game day Swing Tackle.

Spotrac says Veldheer is still available. For all we know, Elway may be in touch with his agent. Or, Munchak may say they've got it covered without him or some other Swing Tackle. They could sign Jeremy Parnell and I could get a cool jersey. We'll know by July.

Brandon Fusco was just released from Atlanta. He is an OG but has multiple starting years behind him.

Depending on health, I wouldn't be surprised to see Wilkinson at LG if Leary isn't fully recovered.

He is the next best one on the roster currently.

He'd be a very good fit for this offense as well. West coast offense and could be great depth behind Leary.

agreed. His play has dropped off the past couple of years but he is worth looking at, imo.

Veldheer would make a lot of sense as would Stefen Winsinewski who can play guard or center.

Sam Jones gotta shoe something in year two.

And don't forget the best offensive line coach in recent NFL history.
