but yeah, they were all worth their contracts for the most part and they were all keys to winning that SB. now that elway can't simply write checks to bring in great players, he's forced to draft and develop them on his own and it's not working out well for him.
again, not one probowler or elite player has been drafted by elway since von miller........that's such an amazing stat that you homers are just throwing under the rug. that's extremely bad and you know it. I hope elway is allowed to run your team into the ground for years to come, but i fear he will be replaced sooner rather than later and that makes me sad.

What’s sad is Elway a former player has resurrected the broncos and won more SB’s than all 39 Chargers seasons combined.
Elway head to head vs all Charger QBs and GM’s combined:
Elway 2-0 as a player
Elway 1-0 as GMsigpic

WR3 benjamin (budget FA)
LT okung (big moneyFA)
LG feeney (draft)

TE henry (draft)

WILL Brown (draft)
MIKE perryman (draft)
SAM Davis (budget FA)
CB hayward (budget FA)
CB williams (UDFA)
SS james (draft)
FS adderley (draft)
that is building a team through the draft, there is literally only one big money FA signing and the vast majority of key players were drafted by the chargers.
lets look at Denver's 2015 SB winning roster to compare.
Clearly you noticed where I said the 2018 starters or did you conveniently ignore thatsigpicwhen do native Americans become human and not mascots

Ohhh no elway hasn’t drafted one pro bowler since Von disregarding Julius Thomas two pb
What shall we do with the two AFC Titles and the Super bowl trophy ??
Since they don’t mean as much as if elway drafted as many pro bowlers as telescosigpicwhen do native Americans become human and not mascots

telesco inherited rivers......he also inherited an extremely old team at the time who was in cap hell with over 12 million in dead cap due to the mistakes of AJ smith. not the case with elway, he may have inherited a team lacking talent with no QB but he had lots of cap room to make the moves he needed right away, now he can't do that and it clearly shows.
You go on and on with Telesco.... Lets break it down...
John Elway: 8 seasons as the GM he has built a team that has had 6 out of 8 seasons with a winning record, 5 seasons in the Playoffs, 5 AFCW championships, 2 SB's, and 1 SB victory..... 60.94% winning record,
Tom Telesco: 6 seasons as the GM he has built a team that has had 4 out of 6 seasons with a winning record, 2 seasons in the Playoffs and , 50.00% winning record. Nothing to show for it.......
You can hate Elway all you want, and it's documented throughout these threads every year, (even the winning ones), but that doesn't change the fact that Elway has done more in Denver than the Chargers ever had. Yes, he has had some faults as do all GM's but hoping the last couple drafts show a sign of improvement in that area. Truth is, Denver has had losing records the last 2 years out of 8 total, but the Chargers under Telesco have 2 years out of 6 total, and those 2 losing seasons were in the middle of his time there so it wasn't and inherited team, he built them. Does he get the suckage moniker there because he was failing at rebuilding like Elway gets? We will see what the future holds.Last edited by Stackhouser; 05-13-2019, 07:18 AM.sigpic

generally bap and this is something you as a charger fan know absolutely nothing about
when you are a Super bowl winning team, and your HOF QB then retires, and the next year you lose your head coach, OC and DC
on top of three starters on the oline from the superbowl, as well as your starting MLB trevathan, starting DT malik Jackson
and when you compound the problem by hiring the wrong HC in VJ...and cannot find a qb that can play at a level expected
you struggle to win games...
the 1999 broncos dropped 8 wins from their SB winning 14-2 1998 season
you wouldn't know this because well, as every team in the leagues goal is winning a SB, andusing that as a guide
well your team has suckedsigpicwhen do native Americans become human and not mascots

Hating his success is fun for challenging opponents I guess, but he has had success no matter how he's built his team.

17 free agents, 24 broncos draftees and 16 CFA signees
where as the 2018 bolts had 17 FA, 25 draftees
he accuses Elway of not building his SB team thru the draft as is free agents or traded players lessons the value of the WIN...when his team last year had the exact same make upsigpicwhen do native Americans become human and not mascots
