    RIP Al Carmichael

Al Carmichael, an original member of the Broncos, and the man who scored the first TD in team history, as well as AFL history, on a 59 yard pass from QB Frank Tripucka, died today at the age of 90.

That first TD in AFL history, from Tripucka to Carmichael, was against the Pats on their home field. Nice work, Al. Requiescat in pace.

And today is the 59th anniversary of that game, and that 59 yard TD pass
