We would be lucky to get a 5th for Flacco. That was the highest offer until we sent Baltimore a 4th. Flacco's value is not high.

That is probably pretty much what he looked like about 24 hours ago too.
Since we're just spitballing here waiting for the season, let's go down that rabbit hole. I took off my orange sunglasses & with our schedule, we will be lucky to win 5 games. And is Joe really our future? Or Drew Lock next year?? How about this - play Joe in this weeks preseason game with the excuse that "we need to get him ready for week 1" He lights it up and either Indy or someone like Tampa offers us a high draft pick. Heck, toss in Chris Harris as for sure we aren't going to pay him next year. So we suck for next years draft whether for a QB or other stud and btw get Sloter somehow someway from the Vikes. All he does every time he gets on the field is look like a starter. Know who is the #1 QB in this years preseason - Yup Kyle Sloter!

If anything, the colts will suck once again and once again for the fourth time in less than 40 years they will be taking the top QB in the draft wether it be Tua, Herbert, Fromm or someone else.

Maybe we can trade for the rights to Luck should he want to come back. We have been doing a lot better with QBs the Colts drafted than the ones we have drafted ourselves.

Brissett isnt really that bad . The colts have a good team . No way they can suck that bad to get a top pick

It would surprise me if Denver trades Joe Flacco, or if Andrew Luck returns to pro football.

If Drew Lock wasn't hurt, I'd expect Denver to keep him as Flacco's backup this season. Neither Kevin Hogan nor Brett Rypien seem as effective as Lock, and don't look like viable possibilities if Flacco needs to leave the game.

I expect Denver to attempt to acquire a better backup QB in the next two weeks. Denver currently has eight picks in the 2020 Draft including two in the third round. When supplemental picks are calculated, they may pick up as many as three more draft choices next year.

His teammates might not be. The incident that led to Chad Kelly being released began at Von Miller's Halloween Party. Attendees complained about Chad Kelly's behavior and security was trying to find him in order to remove him, but he had left the venue before that could be done. Then an episode from Chad Kelly's version of The Twilight Zone ensued. His Kryptonite is apparently a vacuum cleaner tube.

Elway's first response was to say they would investigate. After he had spoken to a number of players who had been in attendance, he released Chad. That seems to indicate a loss for trust in Chad by his teammates.

If Chad returned to Denver, that would be pretty crazy, but so is Chad.

There were rumors that the Broncos asked the 49ers about Mullens and Beathard, and the 49ers turned down offers, saying they were going to hold onto both. We'll see what the Broncos are willing to give up to get a quality backup.

So do I. Off the field, he needs constant supervision, and some kind of counseling/therapy. If he can stay out of trouble long enough to get on the field during the regular season, he could perform very well. Doing a good job on the field is a good way to earn the trust of teammates. Another concern for him is injury. It could be that his style of play sometimes leads to him not taking care of himself. I wish Chad well.
