I'm glad he's not an offensive lineman with a name like that!

I like the look of the PS so far. Rypien definitely showed enough to hang around and see if he can develop, Muhammad certainly showed some potential and if we run into any injury issues he's a nice option.

    WR Diontae Spencer (from Steelers)

None of the players waived by the Broncos were claimed.
They should have just kept LaCosse instead of trading TEs with NE

What happened to the Hoyer talk from yesterday?

Much prefer an experienced vet fitting the backup role more then a project QB with no experience.

Kind of a puzzler IMO. Broncos are making some confusing contradictory choices.

Cap room. As of right now Over The Cap has the Broncos over the salary cap, they have 4 teams above the cap, which can't be accurate because the NFL won't let teams go above the cap and will start voiding contracts if a team were to go over.

But the Broncos have little cap room, so Hoyer is probably out of their range.

Yes I would assume it was for Special Teams. They probably didn't even want to cut him, but with needing to keep 3 players on the roster before they could IR them it meant he needed to be released on paper.

That and Hoyer was not subject to waivers, meaning he gets to choose where he goes. I cant imagine being Joe's temporary backup is all that appealing of a job. I bet he goes to indy

I think Denver will have less than $1 million over the cap, when the dust clears. They will have a lot of cap space next year, but will also have a bunch of guys to re-sign.
