Anthems and Protests ---
While we certainly understand the frustration by fans on all sides of the discussion, we have decided to keep the Broncos Country message boards separate from politics. Recent events have brought the NFL to the forefront of political debates, but due to the highly emotional and passionate discussion it tends to involve, we think it’s best to continue to keep politics and this forum separate. Yes, the forum is meant for discussion, but we’d like to keep that discussion to football as much as possible.
With everything going on in our country, it would be nice to keep our complaints and cheers purely related to football here. If you feel passionately, there are plenty of other outlets available to you to express your opinions. We know this isn’t the most popular decision, but we ask that you respect it.
Thank you for understanding.

Will Shaq Barrett set a new single season sack record
Wouldn't that make John Elway look really incompetent. Spend a top 5 pick on a defensive end when he had an NFL sack leader and record setter on the roster. But no, he won't break it. Had a huge game and the statistics will taper off in my opinion over the course of the season. I will say that he ends up with 14-16 sacks on the season.
I'm rooting for him to, but I think his production is going to slow down as teams begin to gameplan and chip him more often. I'm going to guess he finishes with around 15.
Looking at the Buc D,
there are several other players I would double team
before Barrett.
DE Ndamukong Suh NT Vita Vea
DE William Gholston
LB Carl Nassib IB Devin White
IB Lavonte David
LB Shaquil Barrett
I hope he breaks the sack record.
I wonder what Fangio's role was in not re-signing Barrett?
Weird, great middle of the defense = lots of sacks for OLB
as for Fangio, 0 say in it. again Barrett wanted to start and wasnt signing here with both miller and chubb. Even if we didnt have Chubb and shaq stayed, he would not have that production, again look at your list of double teams for the bucs...great up the middle. We need help in the middle, something Elway has severely neglected.

I understand Elway gets a lot of the blame, but as many posters have pointed out,
Joe Ellis, the President, and CEO of the Denver Broncos could be a key figure in the team's
current plight.
We're all speculating here.
Someone give me Elway's number; I'll ask him directly. lol

I wouldn’t think so since Barrett had significant playing time opposite Von back in 2017 when Shane Ray was out.
He was solid but no where near as special as he is now. I’d say he’s benefiting from being with a spectacular defense coached by Bruce Arians who is utilizing all his defenders to great lengths.
Yes....No....Maybe! Let's all find out together after week 16. Predicting is for the most part....meaningless. Starting a thread for this....really?
Does your butt hurt over the fact that Elway did not find the correct defensive coaching staff to fit Barrett’s talents while he was a Broncos?
If so then feel free to feel it to its fullest extent because that is exactly what has happened.
In the midst of all your madness you should’ve realized that Shaq is doing extremely well and deserves all the recognition he is receiving right now especially from Denver fans.
Wether Elway looks like an incompetent fool or not is irrelevant to anyone not wearing orange glasses.
Perhaps we should be speculating on the length of time it takes you to get yourself banned.

That won't matter to the broader uninformed audience. With Elway right now already being questioned as a General Manager for the multiple misfires at quarterback, the headlines that Barrett would potentially be the sack leader and NFL record setter in sacks would only fuel the fire as he was a backup here. The general public usually don't care about the finer details.
I’m going to say he gets 18.5, he’s not going to keep up that pace. Oh and yes it’s funny he has more sacks than the broncos and the same amount as the chargers team does
