He doesn’t get targeted as often because coordinators can target guys like Yiadom. If he were targeted more often we would see him burned more like today. If he always needs help on the backend, he’s really not an elite cornerback.

So because CHJ got beat during that game against one of the fastest receivers in the NFL - we need to start discussing trades? Phenomenal Denver Bronco Forum reasoning strikes again.
"Trade Trade Trade!"
"Fire Fire Fire!"
"Why is our team doing so horribly?"I believe.

But let's be honest. CHJ wants to get paid big FA money one final time during the closing stretch of his career.
I don't think Elway is going to give it to him. It would have been nice to have gotten an early-round draft pick for him. But now, more than likely he'll leave as a free agent.

I always laugh at the usual "Insert Player Name* is washed because he gave up a TD. He made a mistake in coverage vs John Brown by peaking at the QB when Brown stemmed him. He can still play at a high level and DEN needs to find a way to keep him for 2-3 more seasons. If not, CB1, CB2 become the team's primary needs in the off-season.Twitter: @CodyRoarkNFL Youtube: CodyRoarkNFL

Yes, he got beat bad by John Brown on one play. But what NFL CB hasn’t gotten beat deep before?
When Diggs scored two weeks ago, the defense was in Cover 3. CHJ played his assignment about as well as anyone should, but KJax got suckered in the wrong direction and failed to execute his assignment by helping up top when Diggs broke deep in his route.
CHJ and Von seem to be the scapegoats for posters here in this forum. Their assignments in Fangio’s defense aren’t the flashiest on a play-to-play basis. But they are still as good as ever. Their value to this team is tremendous, and simply suggesting to trade them for mid-round picks or even cutting them for cap purposes (even though their contracts are friendly- relative to their positional peers) is just disrespectful towards everything they’ve done for this team and the community.

It’s perfectly reasonable for the Broncos to not give him an inflated contract, that he is not likely to justify with his on field performance.Stop Feeding The Trolls, Please!!!!!

In the event that he does walk, what do we do at CB? I think no matter what, CB should be a priority in the upcoming draft. Then again, that’s another young, inexperienced corner in a room that lacks experience. CHJ was lucky to have an aging Champ. Whoever is next (I thought Yiadom would be the guy, but he’s been extremely underwhelming), would be lucky to have an “aging” CHJ.
And if we sign a corner in FA who is presumably cheaper than what we would’ve signed CHJ for... I would wager a lot of money that by Week 3 of next season, we would be calling for his head because he simply wouldn’t be as talented or effective as CHJ was. Who knows, we might have that guy already... Bryce Callahan.
