So now we're seeing how much of a raw deal Vance got.

After I sat closer to sideline than ever before during a NFL regular season game I can say without a doubt that Vance was a HORRIBLE NFL coach.

IMO he is a big reason our players are learning how to win

The Broncos made Vance Joseph a multi-millionaire I think he'll be okay

          what does this mean?

Look, there's no question VJ wasn't ready. I read he physically trembled at certain press conferences. You can't have your leader that sensitive. Now we're halfway through the first season of Fangio and you're trying to draw comparisons to VJ's body of work at HC. I think both coaches have had more of a challenge than they deserved thanks to the teams provided for them. I think this comparison is premature.

Pretty much says it all. Joseph had one year as a DC leading a pedestrian defense. He hadn't earned a chance as a head coach and still hasn't. He should never have been interviewed let alone hired. This is only his second season as a DC and he still has a lot to learn.

He was in way over his head here and probably should have been fired after year 1. The Joesph era left us in just about as bad a position as the McDaniels era. The quicker we scrub it from our memories, the better.

At least Fangio has earned a shot. He has decades of experience and is one of the top 5 defensive minds in football. Maybe he'll figure out how to build an offense, maybe he won't. But at the very least, he isn't completely out of place as a HC.

Fangio is off to a rocky start, but at least he's good at what he's supposed to be good at. At least our defense is playing at the level we should expect.

Joseph is long gone and we should all be celebrating that fact.
3 times this year, we had the lead at the 2 minute warning. The defense let the Bears, Colts, and Jags drive into field goal range to win the games.

And in only one of those games did a team score over 20 points. If you want to judge a defense on 3 drives, all of which also included a horribly botched penalty call, be my guest. All it says to me is you're a fan of a team that is in a down season and is looking for anything to complain about.

This is a top 10 defense. I don't expect perfection on every play. I don't expect a shutout every game. Our defense is contender worthy. And it's practically the same D that Jospeh had. Fangio has this D in a much better place, no matter how pessimistic some want to look at it.

I was looking at this week's DVOA ratings and noticed that the Broncos' D is currently #3, Card's D is #29.

                      Lol!!!:
We have seen a lot bad things with the Cardinals defense that goes beyond the horrific stats. At some points during games, Jordan Hicks was tasked to cover a wide receiver. No matter who the Cardinals assign to cover tight ends, they are either left wide open or poorly covered. Communication issues seems to be a constant on the defense every week.
Sounds like same ole’ VJ. Might as well close this thread up here

But it's all good, because he's a "leader of men." Hopefully their defense at least has really good practices.

He will probably be a "leader of DB's only" back with the Bungals soon.

Well cic should be after this year too because he is on pace to be worst than that.
Again UNTIL WE DRAFT A QB IN THE TOP 10....we will not be a contender. Plz stop taking other team garbage qbs and late 1st rounders Qbs. We have NEVER selected a qb top 10

Then he went off to win a super bowl. What a shame for the giants if they would have fired him after one season.

Bill Belichick had a losing record at his first hc job. Now he is considered by most one of the greatest hcs to coach.

Yall making excuses for vic. Our def was not as bad as you all try to make it seems. Our offense was even worst with vj.
