    Trade up for Andrew Thomas

If we can move up to grab this kid with out giving up a first next year I think we should do it expecially if wirfs doesn't declear he is way better then any lt in this draft. I feel if we can get Thomas then keeping a 3rd or 4th and grabbing Jon Runyan that alone would do huge things to repair our oline

Right now the Redskins, Jets, Browns, and Tampa have a need for a LT. It is the Redskins primary need so as of now him making it past 2nd would be unlikley and if he did he might get past the Jets who need a pass rusher desperately. The only chance we have is honestly trading up to 1 or hoping the Redkins have a better season

Ya I guess that is more likely cause the skins probably won't go qb back to back in the first like off wants them to.

The other option would be taking a risk on raw talent like Austin Jackson or Prince Tega Wanogho. Prince has the best leg work and athleticism as far as I can tell of any LT but as I've said he is raw when it comes to run blocking. Austin is raw as well but has a high enough floor to be considered 1st round talent. Prince has been compared to Greg Little a few times.

Its not ideal but its not completely bleak

The problem with that could he play and maybe not do the best but still improve cause 72 can't be the lt next year

Prince is an upgrade in pass protection but I cannot say he would be at run blocking. Austin stands out in the Pac 12 and is a lot more balanced then Prince. I think he could be at the very least a slight upgrade overall, but I would like to see him against better talent.

Leatherwood has been rotated in and out among different positions and it seems due to him being a bit top heavy from what I've seen. He has done well but has yet to face a real challenge.

Cosmi lacks the strength needed right now to succeed and will need to hit the weight room. Which for an O lineman can create more problems if they cannot handle the weight gain.

The problem I am seeing is that Teams picking above us with QB's are going to go Oline (probably)

Jets, Giants, Redskins right now are almost a lock to be looking there.

This might be a trade back Draft and pick up players with (shudders) potential at those positions.

Tough to say, with the amount of QBs going in the 1st and certain defenders like Young, Okudah and Simmons it might not be that hard to trade up for him

The owner of the skins wants Haskins to be the future. They will not draft a QB. They traded away the 2nd and there top need is LT. It is possible they wont get one but it would be foolish if they do not.

As much as I would like a tier 1 OT, I'd rather get a tier 1 BPA for another position of need in that first pick and then look at best value from then on. The Broncos have more needs that they can fill in the next draft, it may take a couple more. This team is not SB bound next year, so there is no need to reach and give away too much draft capital, I would rather take my chances with Mike Munchak doing his magic with a 2nd or 3rd rounder.

Maybe you're right, but the fortunes of Baltimore and San Fran show us that things can swing quickly in the NFL. You hit a couple of draft picks and those picks have players beside them who improve a little bit, and all of a sudden things snowball. The key is to not do a Browns and buy a bunch of combustible personalities and give them a coach with no idea how to handle them.

EDIT: I should also include the Rams from 2016 to 2017 since they are really the poster child for things turning around quickly.

If Whirfs doesn't declare, I don't think there is a shot we can land Thomas. I expect him to go top 5 regardless maybe top 3. That said, I'm a big Whirfs fan, and honestly I would do what it takes to get him if he declares.

I would hate to trade up in this draft for a tackle. Especially given what we have done with second and third round picks the last couple of drafts. If anything, trade down and get another second or third round pick. I really like Becton in round 2, I think Leatherwood could potentially fall as well but not so sure. He is a former 5 star high school guy and has been a rock for 2 years at Alabama. My gut says he is gone in round 1. I agree with some that he plays a little high but he has the frame to fix it. I believe he will be a dominant G or an above average T for a decade.

Give me Becton in Round 2, Walker Little or Lucas Niang in round 3, John Runyan in round 4. Love to see Trey Smith's medical reports also. If the blood clot issue is past him or low risk, I would grab him in round 3 or 4. He could have been a top 10 guy.

This is a deep draft for tackles. While Thomas is the best I don't think he is worth trading up to get. I believe there are many starting OTs in this draft. I think Becton is underrated and has the size, athleticism and skill set that will translate very quickly to the NFL.

I would go WR or CB in round 1 as they will likely be the BPA at that point. Then pickup 2-3 OL in our next 6 picks. I also love the idea of doing something like last year. Trade down to the 20-25 range and get another 2nd rounder.
