Hey Maniacs,
Welcome to another week of , "How can they screw it up this week?"
This far in the season they still manage to find new ways to get your hopes up a choke.
Vic yet again shows why he was not a head coach before. His D gave up 4 TD on 4 drives in a row in the 2nd half.
The offense, which looked very good in the first half getting 20 points, only mustered three in the 2nd.
For a brief moment it looked like we had an offensive coordinator. Turned out to be Fake News.
Allen had a chance to end the half with more points, but threw an int instead, which started the tide turn.
Also if anyone knows where we could find a kicker that would be appreciated. I wouldn't trust McManus to kick a can down the road.
So they blew a 20 point leads... Kudos to that level on ineptitude. Even Vance Johnson didn't do that.
So we shuffle off to Buffalo off to the improving Bills with Josh Allen. Bills have a winning record. Something we have not seen in a few year or will likely to at the rate we are going. So the 3-7 Broncos vs the 7-3 Bills. Our plan should be to rush it as we are averaging 113 per game. Lindsay is averaging 4.2 yards per attempt, which is good, but has only has 20 rushing attempts once this season. Which is not so good.
The Bills are susceptible to the run, so that should be our focus. They are great against the pass, and do we want to rely on Brandon Allen to carry us? Better than Flacco, but he is who he is and wasn't a starter for a reason. Josh Allen is no Cousins, which is good. Cousins went off 29-35 for 319 yards and 3 TDs. He was scoring at will... and that is with Chris Harris back there. Allen threw 3 TDs as well last week, but that was against the Dolphins. Hopefully we play better than they did.
Allen is mobile, and while he is no Lamar Jackson he can be dangerous if we let him get out of the pocket. Denver can not underestimate this sophmore QB. So how do we do in our 11th game of the season? We are 6-4. Of the six wins four came at home, two on the road. Of the losses two were home, two on the road. Our last week 11 road win was 2012 vs the Chiefs. Hopefully we can get another one.
Each week gets this miserable season closer to an end. More downs than ups. You can't count on something bad happening to this team and Garrett Bolles having 2 holds per game. Nonetheless please follow the COC. More important than ever that as a group we follow the rules and respect each other. Go easy on the mods if you can. Thanks to all who are still making it here week after week.
Hope everyone has a good Thanksgiving and as always GO Broncos!
