    RIP Neil Peart

I couldn't say it better than a good childhood friend did,

Thank you for sparking the passion and dreams of a restless youth searching for meaning and a place in the world. Your words and music were the soundtrack of my adolescence and your drumming is forever imprinted upon my DNA. Rest in peace professor.

We lost a great drummer, lyricist and overall, a very interesting man. He was also a traveller and wrote books. He was an inspiration to many.

    Bless you sir!

    RIP to "The Professor"

Just ran across this great Neil Peart quote that for me, sums up his dedication and love for his craft...

"Eric Clapton said he wanted to burn his guitar after hearing Jimi Hendrix play. I never understood that because when I went and saw a great drummer or heard one, all I wanted to do was practice" - Neil
"There is no plan B. Plan A is to win the Super Bowl" - John Elway

Rest in Peace to one great musician from a truly great band! I'm glad I got to see him/them at least once.
