PICK 1 (Cincy)

Joe Burrow - QB

School: LSU | Year: Senior (RS)

Burrow doesn't have elite arm strength, but he checks every other box, and he's a beautiful fit in the Bengals' offense.

PICK 2 (Washington)

Chase Young - Edge

School: Ohio State | Year: Junior

The Redskins already have some talented pieces on the defensive line, but Young is a once-in-a-decade talent.

PICK - 3 (Detroit)

Jeff Okudah - CB

School: Ohio State | Year: Junior

Detroit could easily auction off this slot to those teams in search of a quarterback. If the Lions stick and pick, Okudah would provide a much-needed upgrade in their secondary.

PICK - 4 (NYG)

Mekhi Becton - OT

School: Louisville | Year: Junior

Dave Gettleman loves big, physical football players, and they don't get any bigger than Becton (listed at 6-foot-7, 369 pounds). He is a mauler in the run game, and he's shockingly nimble in pass protection.

PICK - 5 (Miami)

Tua Tagovailoa - QB

School: Alabama | Year: Junior

Tua does come with durability concerns, but it's a risk worth taking for the QB-starved Dolphins. He can sit behind Ryan Fitzpatrick for a season while he recovers from hip surgery.

PICK - 6 (LAC)

Jedrick Wills - OT

School: Alabama | Year: Junior

The Chargers are in the QB market, but they also have a desperate need to upgrade the OL. Wills is a rock-solid player, and he'll start from Day 1 at right tackle for the Bolts.

PICK - 7 (Carolina)

Derrick Brown - DT

School: Auburn | Year: Senior

Matt Rhule will be given the time to build this team the right way, and that starts with upgrading in the trenches. Brown is one of the top three or four talents in this draft class.

PICK - 8 (Arizona)

Tristan Wirfs - OG

School: Iowa | Year: Junior

The Cardinals need to protect their investment in Kyler Murray. Some believe Wirfs will stay at tackle in the NFL, but I see him as an All-Pro-caliber guard at the next level.

PICK - 9 (JAGs)

Isaiah Simmons - S

School: Clemson | Year: Junior (RS)

Pairing Simmons with last year's first-round pick, Josh Allen, will give the Jaguars two elite defensive athletes to build around. He can play linebacker or safety.

PICK - 10 (Cleveland)

Andrew Thomas - OT

School: Georgia | Year: Junior

The Browns must upgrade their offensive tackle situation. Thomas has some areas for improvement, but he'll be too tempting to pass up.

PICK - 11 (NYJ)

K'Lavon Chaisson - Edge

School: LSU | Year: Sophomore (RS)

General manager Joe Douglas is desperate to upgrade the OL, but in this scenario, the run at the position has already taken place. Chaisson is an outstanding athlete and would fit smoothly into the Jets' scheme.

PICK - 12 (Raiders)

CeeDee Lamb - WR

School: Oklahoma | Year: Junior

The Raiders need more playmakers. I believe Lamb is the best receiver in this draft class.

PICK - 13 (Indy)

Jordan Love - QB

School: Utah State | Year: Junior (RS)

The Colts haven't publicly committed to Jacoby Brissett as their starter in 2020, and Love is simply too intriguing to pass up. He might need to sit for a year, but the payoff could be huge.

PICK - 14 (Tampa)

Justin Herbert - QB

School: Oregon | Year: Senior

Teams are all over the map on Herbert. However, he does fit the profile for Bruce Arians -- he's big, strong and smart.

PICK - 15 (Denver)

Jerry Jeudy - WR

School: Alabama | Year: Junior

Jeudy would give the Broncos one of the most exciting collections of young skill-position players in the league. Adding him to a group that already includes Drew Lock, Courtland Sutton, Noah Fant and Phillip Lindsay would strike fear into opposing defensive coordinators.

PICK - 16 (Atlanta)

A.J. Epenesa - Edge

School: Iowa | Year: Junior

The Falcons have tried and failed to land a consistently productive edge rusher. Epenesa doesn't have the highest ceiling, but I believe he'll be a dependable 8-to-10-sack performer at the next level.

PICK - 17 (Dallas)

Xavier McKinney - S

School: Alabama | Year: Junior

McKinney is the best safety in the draft, and he addresses a glaring need for the Cowboys.

PICK - 18 (Miami)

D'Andre Swift - RB

School: Georgia | Year: Junior

Swift is a special player and would team with Tua to create some excitement in Miami.

PICK - 19 (Raiders)

Patrick Queen - LB

School: LSU | Year: Junior

The Raiders need to get faster and more dynamic on defense. Queen plays sideline to sideline, and he's outstanding in coverage.

PICK - 20 (JAGS)

C.J. Henderson - CB

School: Florida | Year: Junior

The Jaguars have a need at cornerback, and Henderson is widely viewed as the second-best player at the position in this draft class.

PICK - 21 (Philly)

Henry Ruggs III - WR

School: Alabama | Year: Junior

Speed! The Eagles are focused on getting faster this offseason, and Ruggs is the most explosive player in the draft.

PICK - 22 (Buffalo)

Tee Higgins - WR

School: Clemson | Year: Junior

The Bills need to add a big-bodied playmaker. Higgins is a jump-ball specialist.

PICK - 23 (NE)

Grant Delpit - S

School: LSU | Year: Junior

The Patriots could look at an offensive lineman here (see: Michigan center Cesar Ruiz), but they need to add some youth and athleticism at the safety position, as well.

PICK - 24 (NO)

Justin Jefferson - WR

School: LSU | Year: Junior

Jefferson is very precise as a route runner, and I love his toughness. He'll fit perfectly next to Michael Thomas.

PICK - 25 (Minn)

Javon Kinlaw - DT

School: South Carolina | Year: Senior

I have Kinlaw rated very high, and this would be too much value to pass up at this spot. He is a physical freak.

PICK - 26 (Miami)

Austin Jackson - OT

School: USC | Year: Junior

The Dolphins' offensive overhaul continues with a very athletic offensive tackle. Jackson is only 20 years old, and he has tremendous upside.

PICK - 27 (Seattle)

Ross Blacklock - DT

School: TCU | Year: Junior (RS)

Blacklock is one of my favorite prospects in the class. He's a much better player than former teammate L.J. Collier, whom the Seahawks selected in the first round last year.

PICK - 28 (Balt)

Kenneth Murray - LB

School: Oklahoma | Year: Junior

The Ravens love shopping at Oklahoma. Murray is a dynamic athlete, and Baltimore needs an upgrade at the linebacker position.

PICK - 29 (Tenn)

Marlon Davidson - Edge

School: Auburn | Year: Senior

Davidson has inside/outside versatility, and he plays extremely hard. He would join Jeffery Simmons to give the Titans two young building blocks up front.

PICK - 30 (GB)

Laviska Shenault - WR

School: Colorado | Year: Junior

The Packers don't pick WRs in the first round, but Shenault is more than just a receiver. He can line up in the backfield and move around the formation to create mismatches in Green Bay's favor.

PICK - 31 (KC)

Zack Baun - Edge

School: Wisconsin | Year: Senior (RS)

Baun can play on the edge or off the ball. His athletic ability and versatility would fit well in Steve Spagnuolo's defense.

PICK - 32 (SF)

A.J. Terrell - CB

School: Clemson | Year: Junior

Terrell had a rough game vs. LSU in the national championship, but the rest of his tape is very good. He has size, length and instincts.

Lots of QBs and Oliners going early. Nice mix of positions overall, including a sizable WR group, with The Broncos taking Jeudy. I reserve judgement until we see how FA goes, and if we sign a WR or not. No doubt, if this pick stands, we will have an outstanding WR pairing for many years.

As most of us seem to be saying....it will likely be one of WR, OLine, CB.

If it played out like this, it would be crazy. At the end of the day route running is a critical aspect to being a good WR. Now yes, you can Excel if you're dominant physically in certain situations (see Metcalf) however dominant route runners can consistently keep the offense on schedule. Terry McLaurin was that guy last year, and I think Jeudy can be more effective than he was.

I think it’s highly unlikely that Jeudy slides to #15. But if he is there, he would be BPA by far. Sutton-Jeudy-Hamilton would be terrifying for opposing defenses.

In your opinion. People have a habit of saying skill position guys are better available players due to the flashiness of whatever spot they play. Saying anyone who falls to that spot at 15 would be "BPA by far" would completely depend on who else potentially falls or is available.

If he fell to us at 15 I would be ecstatic and I hate over-drafting skill positions...which we have been good about minus Elway's propensity to draft tall QBs. But I really do think Jeudy is a different story. I love Ceedee Lamb also...but for the offense I think we are going for I see us needing a guy who can stretch the field and I see Ruggs and Jeudy as being two players that could fill that position. I think if we get either one of them our Offense would be pretty explosive, but I think Jeudy is a more polished receiver compared to Ruggs. Can't wait to see some 40 times at the combine.

We can assume the board likely doesn’t go exactly like this mock but let’s play like it did. Which player should the Broncos draft? Or even position do they choose.

WR is the best value option by far in this scenario. Maybe ILB, CB or DT could be argued but not OLine. Personally I would not be disappointed if Queen or Murray were the pick.

I wouldn’t mind a trade to pick at the end of 1st or early in the 2nd to pick a top C/ G prospect. What would it cost? A 4th or one of the late 3rds?

Broncos have too much invested in James to abandon him so soon. Man needs to play. If he doesn’t it is simply another horrible decision to sign him.

WR seems to make the most sense if the draft plays out anywhere close to this mock.

Of course. I would be remiss to overlook other top players on the board and other positions at the time. My board (tentatively) looks like this.

1. Young
2. Burrow
3. Okudah
4. Simmons
5. Jeudy

While yes, flashy skill position guys tend to be overvalued, Jeudy is the best prospect at a position that is historically talented at the top this year. For a guy with a consensus Top 10 ranking on boards, I would say it’s justified to say he would be BPA at 15.

That’s every QB. Dak averaged the same amount of pocket time as Lock and that was actually more than Patrick Mahomes and Tom Brady. Lock was sacked once every 31 drop backs and either pressured or hit once every 4-5 drop backs. Brady was pressured/hit every 6-7, Mahomes was 5-6, Prescott was 6, Jimmy G was 6-7. If Lock can get comfortable in the new offense and read defenses faster in year 2 that alone will offset the 1-2 more pressures that he saw this season.

The board won’t play out like this but if it did are you saying you’d take Austin Jackson (the next O-linemen taken) over Jeudy? The center isn’t even in the first round of this mock and he’d probably be a better pick than Jackson but a C isn’t going to stop Bolles struggles on the outside or Wilkinson’s if he’s forced to start at RT again.

This was my point when I had us taking a WR in my mock draft, yes a OL selection would be great but the value just isn't going to be there. Unless you take someone like Austin Jackson who would be a big reach I would wait until rounds 2-4.

I would love to grab a WR, we need more then just Sutton at wideout to help Lock progress. Whether its Lamb, Jeudy, or Rugg I will be happy.

If the board actually fell like that to #15 I think we would be really, really foolish if we did not take Jeudy. I think he is the best WR in the draft and the other poster that has him a top 5 talent.

I also think there are some teams that would be over drafting some OL in this scenario too. If Tristan Warfs or Andrew Thomas were available at #15 that would be hard to pass up for a WR or CB. I don't think any other OL is worth #15, Willis could possibly considered too.

I don't know the best qbs have the ball out of there hands very quickly. You need to in this league be able to read a defense pre snap then get the ball out by the top of your step. This league is all about timing anticipation and reads in the nfl. You need all 3 to succeed
