    Besides coaching NYG QB Jones,
Shula also coached CAR QB Newton.

I wonder if Lock's career will mimic Newton's?
That would be something. They're wildly different players with incomparable personalities and playing styles, but if Shula helps Lock win MVP and make playoff runs with a super bowl trip I will be just fine with that.

Not all of us. Between the uninspiring hires and the disturbing trade for Flacco, last offseason was a hard one to find optimism in.

You were right about Flacco, and I was wrong.

I had put too much faith in Flacco due to his playoff win at Denver.

I've put the same faith in Lock this year, lol.

Hopefully, this year Den's OL will shine.

Mike Shula's biggest job in the coming season will be to help quarterback Drew Lock navigate the developmental curve. Shula was the Panthers' offensive coordinator during Cam Newton's MVP season in 2015 and was the Giants' offensive coordinator this past season as rookie quarterback Daniel Jones started 12 games as Jones finished with 3,027 yards passing to go with 24 touchdowns and 12 interceptions. Jones also lost 11 fumbles this past season as he was sacked 38 times in those 13 starts.

Mike Shula has already spent time at the Broncos' facility, but the team officially announced Tuesday he is the team's quarterbacks coach. Broncos coach Vic Fangio's statement: "Mike is a well-respected coach around the league, especially when it comes to developing quarterbacks. The familiarity he has with (offensive coordinator) Pat (Shurmur) is an added bonus, but what's most impressive is Mike's proven track record coaching quarterbacks at many different stages of their careers.''

I hear ya dude. Last bunch of years, thats all we hear. I wish Elway would talk straight. He is in the business to sell tickets.
He might say " We are in it to win it!". If we are being real, He was programmed to say that.
Remember Bowlen said something like " Winning Super Bowls now,... and from now on!"
John has to come to grips with the idea of building the team right way.
    No more band aids!
