Hamilton seems like the kind of D Lineman Fangio liked in Chicago (Eddie Goldman, and Akiem Hicks).

The two projected depth charts I’ve looked at project:
    LE Walker / Jones
    NT Purcell
    RDE Casey / S. Harris

    ESPN & CBS Sports

Is this right and if not who plays Wolfe’s old spot in our base D at Left End, Casey or Harris?

I don't think they are right. You start your best linemen which would be harris at le Purcell at nt and casey at dt

Why wouldn’t Shelby play his old spot over a guy that was his backup rather than be a backup to Casey?

I don’t know that’s the way ESPN and CBS sports depth charts showed it. When i first saw it i thought mistake but then when a second one had it i asked the question.

I think it'll most likely be:

    LDE: Casey/Jones
    NT: Purcell
    RDE: Harris/Walker

I usually find that national sports orgs. are not very "detailed" with the Broncos, therefore I wouldn't trust they have any great insight, it is also too early to know who the actual starters will be outside of Casey DE and probably Purcell at NT.
I would say that the 2 starters at DE will be Casey and S. Harris... IIRC Harris usually played on the right side of the defense at DE (he did start the season at NT but then moved to the DE spot as he was struggling against the run ... Purcell took over a NT). I would imagine that Walker and Jones will be rotated in a lot and I would think Casey could play at NT too. The Broncos do/did use a "2-4-5" at times, in that I would think Casey would be used in that formation along with a rotated DE - Walker, Jones.

I have to agree here 100 percent. On top of that two smaller guys rotating at LE was not a good idea. I think walker and Jones rotate around. I think it makes our team better and improved their value as well.

    Look something more like this?
    LE Casey / Jones
NT Purcell / Peko or Tiuli
    RDE Harris / Walker

Why do I think of the Grateful Dead every time someone posts Casey / Jones?

    Wolfe 535 snaps = 12 QB hits, 7 sacks, 8 TFL
    Jones+Walker 515 snaps = 11 QB hits, 7.5 sacks, 8 TFL

My guess why Wolfe not brought back, more upside with the younger guys.

    Agreed

I think the addition of Casey will make both the run defense and the push up the middle better with the starting group. It will be interesting to see how the depth adds up with the various rotations.

Plus a year of experience in Fangio’s defense for Jones and Walker

I keep forgetting about Peko. Last I saw he was listed at just a bit over 300 pounds. I'd like to see him make it there (back up NT) because he works hard and he's been around a while, and he seems like a good guy. But, is he big enough to come in at NT for us and fit the scheme?
