Shelter in Place Mock Draft I

I have taken a little time out of my boring shelter in place day to play "Brass" for the Broncos.
While I'm totally aware this probably won't be close to happening, this mock makes sense to me.
    So without further adieu :

!) We trade DOWN for the Vikings 22nd & 58th pick for our 15th.
    WR Denzil Mims, Baylor.

2a) We trade UP for the Bengals 33d for our 46th & 77th picks.
    CB Jeff Gladney, TCU.

    2b) DT Ross Blacklock,TCU.

    3a) C Tyler Biadasz, Wisconsin.

    3b) WR Donovan Peoples-Jones, Michigan.

    4) G/T Robert Hunt, Louisiana.

    5) S JR Reed, Georgia.

    6) G Ben Bredeson, Michigan.

    7) DL Nick Coe, Auburn.

    7) ILB Dante Olson, Montana.

With this draft we would get 4, possibly 5 contributors this year for the
Broncos continued improvement, adding to a great draft last year.

Hope you all have a great, safe and HEALTHY day.

Three Day 1 starters with those picks. And overall 4-5 contributors like you said. I like it! And the late round selections could provide good depth. Bredeson and Coe are my favorites out of them. Gladney and Bouye would be an exciting CB duo on the outside for the next few years.

    Thx for this.

I like trading back and then up later. Loads of early round talent.

I do notice that almost every mock around here has us landing Biadasz. That's cool. Each of you did not have a conference call to select him.

The high level goal for me is 3-4 starters, plus contributors. You might have accomplished that.

Youíre right, Mims is a bit raw. I could see the coaches trusting Hamilton/Patrick more early on. Mims might not be a starter but I would expect him to have some kind of role during his rookie year.

So your 1st rd WR canít beat out Patrick and Hamilton? That concerns me.

IMO it kind of defeats the purpose of drafting one that early.

Well, with Mims (in particular) I could see him taking some time to develop and get comfortable in our offense. I like him a lotó he has DT potential IMO. But thatís why Iím in favor of going for the Top 3 or Justin Jefferson because they have more polish and proven translatable ability to the NFL. Those prospects I trust a bit more to contribute and start Day 1 over our other guys on the roster.
