With what we've been building I'm actually leaning towards yes. Dalton is a pro, I think at this point in his career he has to realize he needs to take a year to reestablish his value before hitting the market and finding a team to compete for the starting job. If the Pats aren't interested in him we should be. It would be a shame with all the work we've done to improve the roster and bolster the offense not to have a really good insurance policy at QB.

I'd be a fan of a one year deal backup veteran range contract. I think anyone knows Lock is the guy but having a vet like Dalton, if he's willing to take a backup role (unsure of where his mind is at and if he really wants to go to a situation where he can compete for the job this season or wait until next year with better FA options) then I think it'd be an asset because he has taken teams to the playoffs before.

    Look it is simple.

The red rifle is being converted into the red musket and heading to Foxborough. Add onto the the irish population and Dalton will fit right in....

If the Broncos didn’t already have Drew Lock, I would be happy if they got Andy Dalton.

    They don’t need Dalton now.

I would love to add Dalton.
I know our team is very young, but I think we are better than what we would be if Lock were to get hurt or regress even. I would love to have a solid Vet to plug in and Dalton could be a great option.

Will be interesting to see a new QB for the Pats. And Dalton would be a good fit with the coaching and expectations.

If he signs I would expect him to have a pretty good year. Likely his best in a few years. He has always been a decent QB just in a horrible situation with the Bungles.

Has Dalton even had any injuries in recent years? Or mostly just the malaise of a losing franchise?

I don’t want Andy “roadhouse” Dalton near the Broncos unless it’s With the team we are facing.

    Clever.

Looks like the Jets are interested. Maybe he’ll end up in Jacksonville. If Minshew doesn’t work out and Dalton plays well, Jags would be in position to tag/trade him.

With Driskel as the backup I would pass on Dalton. He could provide good veteran leadership and knowledge for Lock, but would be costly.
