It's an exciting schedule. We'll find out quite early on whether our young team has enough players with a big match temperament for us to challenge for the playoffs.

i think the league has a hunch that the broncos could be hot with that SNF match up. With how we have been stinking it up lately its amazing SNF's even an option.......

Anyone else notice the weird symmetry to the schedule? Removing the bye week - we open and close the season with a home-away-home stretch with alternating double away and home games in between. I haven't looked, but it makes me wonder if other teams might have similar patterns this year.

    10-6 I think
I agree with what you have here except I would flip the Steelers and late KC games. Winning in KC is always hard and even more so late. Steelers are going to take a bit to find their groove. I think we get them at the right time

Sorry....had to do it. Strength of Schedule based solely of course, on last year's records. Proceed with caution, We all know that last year's record does not mean a lot, although it gives a very basic comparison of some sort. Anyway, fyi :

    1 New England Patriots .537 (137-118-1)
    2 New York Jets .533 (136-119-1)
    3 Miami Dolphins .529 (135-120-1)
    4 San Francisco 49ers .527 (134-120-2)
    T5 Buffalo Bills .525 (134-121-1)
    T5 Atlanta Falcons .525 (134-121-1)
    T5 Detroit Lions .525 (134-121-1)
    T8 Arizona Cardinals .518 (132-123-1)
    T8 Houston Texans .518 (132-123-1)
    T10 Minnesota Vikings .516 (131-123-2)
    T10 Los Angeles Rams .516 (131-123-2)
    12 Denver Broncos .512 (131-125)
    T13 Chicago Bears .508 (129-125-2)
    T13 Seattle Seahawks .508 (129-125-2)
    15 Green Bay Packers .504 (128-126-2)
    T16 Tampa Bay Buccaneers .502 (128-127-1)
    T16 Indianapolis Colts .502 (128-127-1)
    T18 Carolina Panthers .500 (127-127-2)
    T18 Kansas City Chiefs .500 (128-128)
    20 Tennessee Titans .498 (127-128-1)
    21 Las Vegas Raiders .496 (127-129)
    22 Jacksonville Jaguars .494 (126-129-1)
    23 Los Angeles Chargers .492 (126-130)
    24 New Orleans Saints .490 (125-130-1)
    25 Philadelphia Eagles .486 (124-131-1)
    26 New York Giants .482 (123-132-1)
    27 Cincinnati Bengals .477 (122-134)
    28 Washington Redskins .465 (118-136-2)
    29 Cleveland Browns .461 (118-138)
    30 Dallas Cowboys .459 (117-138-1)
    31 Pittsburgh Steelers .457 (117-139)
    32 Baltimore Ravens .438 (112-144)

So we are 12th, playing teams with just over 500 records (on avg). And though we play similar teams, we have the slightly harder schedule of any team in The AFC West....though again, last year's records are just a base, given that teams rise or fall given offseason activity, and many other factors.

And I will admit, it does not bother me to see The Pats in #1 position in this chart. They do have a load of tough games. Meanwhile The Ravens, at the bottom, may be top seed or thereabouts, if this SOS means anything.

But yes, our schedule does not look easy, no matter last year's records. One game at a time....one win at a time.

Why do so many people assume the Bucs are going to be good with an ancient Brady that wasnít good with a better roster last year ? And why do people think the Broncos arenít good enough to beat them early in the year at home when Brady is very unlikely to have figured things out with the Bucs yet.

Personally I have that one circled as a win Brady or not.

Do you mean overall roster? Because I am quite sure he has better O weapons.

But sure, we can beat those guys. O moves the ball. D pressures TB.

Overall I think 9-10 wins a relatively reasonable expectation. Iím definitely more optimistic than I have been for a few years. Even though the roster is extremely young, especially on O, I believe the overall talent is better than the past few seasons. A promising young QB helps a lot and we added some decent talent. We shall see how it pans out, but Iím feeling pretty optimistic about a winning season.

Agreed. Hey dude, you started just 2 months after I did. That would account for the few extra posts I have...…..

Now, this is subject to change after camp/preseaon/ect, but right now I look at that schedule and I see 11 wins.
