The Entertainment Timing Factor...As A Result Of Delayed Sports/TV&Movie Production

Right now I am starving for sports. I was a couple of months ago as well. This has been tough!! But, life goes on, given what we have.

Maybe, even without fans in the stands, one or more eventful sports will be back in a couple of months, or maybe later. They may overlap, as in basketball, hockey, baseball......and then, football. Of course, at some point they always do....but not likely in September. Regardless, they along with all other sports I like will be warmly welcomed back, whenever.

Then there's the regular tv/movie productions. They are certainly on hold. Other than shows that were finished before the pandemic took hold, we may be waiting for along while before they get up and running...thereby pushing them back into next year most likely. So we may be getting our sports fill later this summer and into the fall, but then we will have the void normally felt in summer, in the other entertainment world. Having said that, I have a feeling that once productions begin, they will move very fast!

    Should be interesting.

Honestly once initial filming runs out I fear there’s the potential for a 6-12 month span where we get nothing new at all.

Hence the need for that sports boom.....PLEASE!!

I can only take so many reruns, Netflix shows I don't really want to watch, and sports rewinds!!

Yeah weíve been scraping the bottom of the barrel lately. Fortunately directv has cycled through a lot of premium channels free a lot over these past two months. Iíve gotten a lot of my Redbox queue for free and movies I hadnít really intended to watch.

But that list is dwindling down and weíve watched most of what we care to watch on Netflix. We watched Mud for the first time the other night with Mcaughnehey and that movie came out 9 years ago. The night before was a real bottom of the barrel scraper with Time Warped. Never heard of it but it started off well with a secret crave where once you go in time outside the cave shoots by at warp speed. But about 45 minutes to an hour in it started to get really really weird with sci fi.

Fortunately dead to me season 2 hits Netflix today. That should hold us a couple of days. But Iíve already noticed the coming soon to Redbox list is getting smaller and smaller each week as a lot of these blockbusters have been shifted to early release or even straight to video on demand.

We havenít had a decent quality kids movie in a month though I think we are about to bite the bullet on the trolls video on demand for $20 for 48 hours.

But not a whole lot of tv shows weíve been interested of late that can kill days of entertainment time. We liked Outer Banks season one. We have 8 episodes of the final season of homeland recorded but missing episodes 8-11. And my sister isnít sure if she saw season 7 or not so weíve been hesitant to start it.

Hopefully actors can get back to work soon or heaven forbid we find an old school hobby.

Did you watch the first SNL from their homes? It was painfully bad.
