If that is the case and I'm Peko, opting out would be the only choice. The only alternative would be to let her go through treatment on her own which would be nothing short of ridiculous. Family comes before everything - in sickness and in health.

Again, maybe I am misunderstanding something.
Sounds like he’s making a great choice with his wife’s condition

Are you saying that in spite of the 90% higher death rate per capita (in the US), once we test more, our death rate will rise drastically? Not sure if we are talking apples and oranges here. If so, we are heading for a HUGE spike.

There's no way to guarantee it even with a bubble. And the Marlins (and MLB) don't have the strict protocols in place, meaning strict rules in the CBA, and actual plans to deal with positive tests. Evidently MLB teams can opt to play, without telling the opposition or MLB after positive tests.

If Australian Rules Football can go, and hockey can go, there's no reason the NFL can't go.

It seems based on the data per population that someone in Canada is less likely to test positive but more likely to die once they test positive compared to the USA.

There could be a lot of reasons to this. This kind of data is what normal people talk about but scientists and data experts just see these numbers as indicators that more information is needed to explain differences.

Floodgates are opening now for players opting out. Several from around the league. I’m sure many more will follow.

I hope The Broncs can get out of this thing with just one scratch so to speak. The Pats are losing some real talent, including 3 likely starters - Hightower, Chung and projected right tackle Cannon.

My gut tells me we will be hearing about more and more players opting out before the season.

As someone who has been going to work since March and has a lot of friends who have been working normal/extra schedules since March I really appreciate these guys showing up for work.

I think a lot of players will look at the Marlins fiasco as a guide of what their decision will be. Half the team contracted it in 5 days, and there is no clue on how or who or where it was introduced to the locker room. Saw the list on the bottom line on ESPN. I think it will grow in numbers as the deadline I believe is August 1st to opt out.

Through first batch of Covid-19 tests, not one Broncos rookie or vet player has tested positive so far. No one on reserve list. Encouraging start.

If the teams docs can actually get Hyrdoxy Chloroquine on hand for the players than there is no worries. The stuff is great! Forget what the Facebook and CNN docs say. Listen to the actual front line doctors and real proof.
