    Final Roster (predictions)

This was a great thread idea created by Jack Luminous but it's long buried in the General Discussion forum and would be much easier to access in this forum and add to as needed.

    1) Predictions for the "final" 53 man roster.

    2) Predictions for the practice squad.

    Noted.

Last decision was trying to decide between he and Nate Jackson, I went back and forth a few times. Decided a proven goal line threat and blocker would trump Jackson's athleticism and learning curb.

    God, I'm an idiot.

I went straight to the numbers, without even reading the preceding language.

    My roster predictions

I think with 3 young QBs on the roster, Kanell is gone. Dont be surprised if only 2 QBs are on the active roster. I also think that we only keep 8 defensive linemen IF and only IF pryce is healthy. We keep more LBs because a lot of them (Steele, Burns, Green) excel at Special Teams and that is an area of emphasis this year. We still would have 2 solid lines to rotate at the DL position and can always pick up someone if they get injured. With Jerry Rices recent comments and the analysis on him, I think that he is done sooner rather than later. The 4th WR spot is between Crenshaw, Luke, and BJ Johnson and all three will make the team (2 active, 1 Practice Squad). I put BJ on the PS cuz he was injured last year. Nate Jackson and Stephen Alexander make the team because of their pass catching ability, meaning that Hape is expendable. Mike Leach just takes up a roster spot and I think the team will work hard with Chris Myers to get him to do the long snapping. Plus Myers is more versatile and able to play multiple positions on the OL. Curome Cox is a sleeper CB and will make the PS at least. He has size and can develop. Overall the roster is stacked and should make for a good special teams as well. We should improve near the goal line as well with big OL like Clabo and Clement and Carswell at TE. If the DL is anything that it could be, I am very optimistic.

In case you've forgotten, Patrice Mjando-Mwamba has to be on the practice squad all season.
