    Dead and Breakfast 7/10

Found this one on the rental rack at Hastings the other day. Kinda reminded me of Army of Darkness. It wasn't as good as that, but it had the same low-budget, over the top, campy type of vibe to it. Definately worth your time though.

I saw this one too and the only part I disagree with is the FX. For the most part they were good, but the smoke pouring out of the building at the end looked like it was ripped of from a PS1 game. I have told everyone I know I was hoping for a director's cut DVD though

    Inside Man - 8/10

It was a pretty good psychological suspense movie, kept you guessing with twists and then an ending that explains everything with a nice twist. All in all a good movie that keeps you entertained throughout.

    Thumbs up Donnie Brasco

Well, my obsession with the Mafia is reaching new heights, and this movie certainly fueled that fire. Great flick about the first ever FBI informant to reach the inner-circles of organized crime in the US.

Johnny Depp does an awesome job portraying the FBI informant, code-named Donnie Brasco. Al Pacino is nothing short of what one would expect from him. Definitely a great movie, and if you like things relating to the Mafia then this is a must-see. I'm gonna go rent Gotti tomorrow.

I just watched that movie last night! One of my favorites man. Forget about it.

If you haven't seen Casino or Goodfellas you need to check them out. Two other mafia movies that are 10s. Som other "recent" good ones are A Bronx Tale, Mobsters, and Untouchables.

    Stay Alive- 4/5
The video games were what really turned me on to this movie, and it did not disappoint me. It wasn't the scariest movie I've seen, but it had its good moments.
I'm officially eating crow. I support McDaniels.

Wishing for Jared Odrick in 2009.

King Kong - - 7.5/10 - - Starts off slowly but when they get to the island the action doesn't stop till the end. Hard to watch some parts where the bugs are eating everyone and it was a pretty lengthy movie.

Yeah, that movie was awesome, I can't believe I made it this long without seeing it. Forget about it.

I actually rented Goodfellas earlier today, I've seen parts of it, but never all of it so I'm gonna ride this whole mafia thing out and watch a few flicks... Same with Casino, I've never seen the whole thing start to finish so that's next on my rent list.

Have you seen those other 3? Would you reccomend all 3? Have you seen Gotti? I kinda wanted to check that out too...

I even just bought the book "The Way of the Wiseguy" by Joseph Pistone (Donnie Brasco) because I liked the movie so much. It only cost me like 3 bucks used on Amazon. I'll let you know how it is...

I recently watched Secretary again 9.5/10. It's so weird it's cool!

And I re-watched Sixteen Candles! 10/10. It maybe an 80's flick, but A: There's a Kiwi artist on the soundtrack, and B: Jake Ryan/Michael Schoeffling! *swoon*

Dude! Mafia movies...I'm all over 'em. From the old school $20 10-packs you can get at Best Buy to the recent ones. You name it, I've got it.

Now, Casino is my favorite movie of all time. A 10. A 10. A ****in 10. That's all I can say about it. Goodfellas is like top 5. Like Brasco, based on a true story. Actually I think Casino was based on a true story but I don't know for sure. I read (which is rare for me) Donnie Brasco before I watched the movie. And the book was great. Quite a few things were changed for the movie. I didn't know there was another book out by Pistone though. I'll have to check it out.

I've seen parts of Gotti but couldn't get into it. Not very good IMO. A Bronx Tale and Mobsters are good. 8/10 I'd say. You got to check them out. The Untouchables was OK. 7/10, worth watching.

Have you checked out all the mafia files at www.thesmokinggun.com ? I got lost there the other day reading all the FBI reports that they compiled from Sammy The Bull's snitch job. You oughta check that stuff out if you haven't, pretty wild.

I'm going to have to dig deeper into that site when I get the time. I was looking at their archive and found "25 Florida Strippers Nabbed". I gotta admit, there's nothing hotter than a stripper holding a pack of cigs in her mugshot.
