Yes it had a story line. I think my buddy told me something similar. I would just say they weren't paying attention amongst all the action. Which there was a ton of.

Not sure why this got so many bad reviews. Maybe cuz too many people were big fans of the Arnold version.

Anyways I thought it was a very entertaining movie with good action. Had me going for a second on that scene where his buddy tried to convince him it was all in his head.

And how can anyone knock a movie with Jessica Biel and Kate Beckingsale?
i agree, it was nowhere near as campy as the first one which i loved. I really think aside from the Total Recall company they should have just named it something different or gave the characters different names because it wasnt a remake at all.

different plot, different setting (new one was still on earth i believe)

    pretty much a new movie.

    Moonrise Kingdom- 7/10

Very strange but highly entertaining movie. Reminded me quite a bit of Lord of the Flies at times. Edward Norton and Bruce Willis were great in this movie. Bill Murray was funny in his few parts but had way too few of parts.

It got a little slow after they initially caught Sarah and Sam but picked up again during the escape. Recommend to anyone willing to sit through a story and not just an action packed movie.

I love that movie. It's so weird.

G.I. Joe 2: Generic Subtitle - 7/10 - It was pretty damn good, lots of action. Adrianne Palicki Something happens in it early on that I really really wasn't expecting. There's some good humor in it as well.

Good to hear because I HATED about 99% of the first one. I can't believe it was such a success.

This is The End - 1000/10 - This is probably the funniest movie I've seen in the past 10 years. All the actors that are in it, all playing themselves, it's fantastic.

I hear different. I heard it isn't good and it's just as bad as the first one. I'd say it's another movie where a certain crowd would like it. Much like the first one, my brother thought it was hilarious. I thought it was terrible.

I'm a pretty harsh movie critic. For example, I'd give the first grown ups about a 3 maybe a 4 out of 10 if I feel generous. I'm also a huge hater of the Transformers movies. Highest rank on those is a 5 on the first one. The rest were just miserable.

Last movie I saw...hmmm, I believe it was Man of Steel. It's funny because I'm feel extremely critical of movies but I actually really enjoyed Man of Steel for a few reasons, mostly because they didn't work in a whole romantic angle and it was just pure set up for another movie which I appreciated in a way. I'd give it a 7 out of 10. That could have been a 8.5 or more had it not been for so much violence and destruction that I became to become bored because I found myself asking "Is there really anything left to destroy" but I also appreciated that because people are so used to the batman movies they don't understand that Superman really was defending against nemesis that could take out the entire world in one swoop.

Well that doesn't tell us anything Cory. lol

"Well, it started off really promising, stay-at-home-mom in distress because her sink broke. Plumber had to come over and I thought at first there was going to be some real conflict of interest there, and some really accurate industry terms etc, but really, that guy didn't know what he was doing. I think he had another idea about what "plumbing" means.

Also, the plot died REALLY quickly... in fact I'd have to say it just didn't have one at all, I really don't know what these writers were thinking, it seemed almost like they weren't thinking at all. And the acting... oh dear, the acting, if you could call it that. The stay-at-home-mom actress was way over the top and the plumber guy just seemed like a giant dufus.

About the only redeeming quality of this thing was the visuals. Oh the visuals. That cinematographer deserves an Oscar!"

    hahaha. something like that?

Hahahahaha. That sums up so many of those freakin' cookie cutter blockbusters.

I catch so much hell for loving Transformers...even though they're pretty terrible excuses for film.

Haven't watched anything new recently. Watched Django for the second time last night, after seeing it a second time I'd give it a grade lower than I did when I first saw it. Inglorious is still my favorite Tarantino film.
