I don't think I'm allowed to drink cake on this diet.

Just a question, given I do love coffee shops. You folks serving dark roast here? Any donuts?

I don't know about anybody else, but I'm usually drinking dark roast when I drink coffee. Donuts... I'm sure we have a box left over from the grand opening around here somewhere.....

    Mostly just general stress.

I'm a jack of many trades for my small company. Unfortunately, that means I have jobs/projects/duties from multiple areas, and sometimes it is just too much for one person, but there's not a whole lot to do about that other than stuff I'm already trying to do about it.

    It's just too much sometimes.

I get overwhelmed too easily, and I'm trying to be more in touch with how I'm feeling about stuff like that... Mindfulness. Today it's just too much. I'm struggling to cope.

I'm constantly thinking about the movie 'Multiplicity'. If there were 4 of me...

Right now, I'm struggling to figure out which 'ASAP' item I need to be working on.
    Thanks, Reid!

Dark roast and a leftover donut works for me LT!

If you ever want to chat about work and such, feel free. I may not be a big help, but I will try.

Further to.....the initial advice I would like to offer: It will all seem like a blur if you do not compartmentalize it. I know that feeling. It may sound easier than in actuality, but perhaps try to separate different projects/tasks/whatever into their own baskets....and try to assess what the issues are with each, as well as some initial steps you will take to manage each one. That way you can feel good that you have one after another under some type of control, with some type of plan. Sure, this does not solve the amount that needs to be done but it may allow you to sleep better knowing that you have identified each significant area, with a decent idea of how to progress.

Whenever I used to get too deep in my career, and had many things chipping away at my work sanity, I would stop and write down a simple plan for each of my real priorities. By doing so, the blur became a bit foggy, but clearer and clearer. In fact, it helped me separate important from "it can wait". Priorities are the essential step to clear mind. Yes, the work may be too much, but you can control what is critical, and you can build a quick plan for each, so that you can go to bed knowing how to attack each major item....while not being blinded by the overwhelming nature of too much, and not enough time or support.

Like I say....feel free to contact me.

    Good luck either way!

    I appreciate it, Can....

For the most part, this is what I do when it becomes hard to prioritize my projects. I actually did this last week. It's just all coming to a head right now and I'm not sure I have time to do all the things I need to for an important project that is well... kinda due. It's essentially done, but I get very perfectionist on this stuff because I'm very nervous about screwing up. Little stuff to do, but for the most part good to go.

I'll be ok. Just gotta pick the pieces to work on and do it.

    Thanks for the support.

I'd like to send some extra Jam for those donuts and full strength coffee if that helps LT.
I'll send some beers at the weekend so you can chill out.
At least you can count on the Broncos to be some light relief
