Our first out of house signing

Ho-hum, its just another linebacker. According to AP Nate Webster is coming to town to sign a contract at one point today. He'll be a backup guy who can play both inside and out. At one point in his career, he was signed by Marvin Lewis at Cincinnati to become the new Ray Lewis of his defense. Didn't really pan out too well, he's had a history of injuries. Here's the link

Its a good move on our part. Low dollar figure im sure.

Again nothing wrong with filling a need.

A simple depth signing. One that you hope you never have to worry about, because that means a starter is injured.

Burns and Green (and Chukwurah) mostly play special teams, so it'll be good to have another LB with starting experience to back up Gold, Williams and Wilson.

I guess it's a good sign.... I still want us to make a move for an actual playmaker, but we could always use a former starter on ST's.

These arent the Big name 'Wham Blam' Signings, but if they can get webster and Gus then these are smart signings because these are needed moves, especially the backup qb position and Gus is one of the better guys out there right now as a backup QB. Hate to see Chewy leave, i always liked that guy. one thing i dont understand, if the Broncos wanted Van Pelt to Develop some more as a passer then why isnt he in NFL europe?
