Houston Texans GM said this on NFL Network.

I just saw the the interview on the NFL network with Butch Davis, Rich Eisen and the other guy. Charley Casserly, Senior Vice President and General Manager, Football Operations for the Texans made a huge case for Mario Williams being the #1 pick. He said that Reggie Bush was good for 15 plays a game. While Williams at DE would impact every play.

It just came on TV but the confirmation will be coming.

I didnt hear what he said but if its exactly what you are suggesting I would be pretty surprised. I can definitely see the reason for pumping Mari oWilliams, assuming they realistically want Bush. They think they will be able to negotiate a better contract with Bush if he thinks they are on the fence as to whom to draft #1.

On the other hand, you dont knock the player you will end up taking. Especially in Texas where half the fan base wants Vince Young. If they hear the GM pointing out the flaws in Bush "only 15 touches", that would lead to more disappointment and anger for passing on Vince Young. This team needs to sell seats, and bashing the player they believe they will draft seems like a dicey move, when the fan base is already disgruntled.

So playing up Mario I can understand. But bashing Bush, unless they were seriously thinking about not taking him, doesnt seem worth it to me.

I believe he is also the mascot, and tosses the cheerleaders when he comes out to take a breather.

But his biggest secret is he runs up to the coaches box, calls his own play, the runs down to the field and does it..

Thats how that 4.4 speed comes into play.

He is coach, player, and can be the owner if drafted to the right team...
