Dude, Gamble #3 Whhaa and Newman #5 Huh?

I liked Gamble in college, but would hardly designate him as one of the top corners in the league.

Newman is like Quentin Jammer's long lost brother. They are both roller-coasters that always seem to be one bad play away from being benched.

Here's my list, I beyotched 'bout yours, feel free to do the same to me.

    1. Champ Bailey.....the best
    2. Ronde Barber.....underrated
    3. Chris McAllister......gonna be healthy again
    4. Antoine Winfield.....scrappy lil guy
    5. Sheldon Brown.....along with Lito, very hard to pass

I also like Dunta Robinson and Nate Clements.

Notice how I did not include DeAngelo "I've never heard a compliment that I didn't love to give myself" Hall on my list.

champ is regarded by most fans and coaches as the best CB by far.

he is the best in coverage

he is always a threat 2 take it the other way + get many picks due to great hands

he is the best tackling CB in the league.

hall is a very good up and coming CB but not in champ's league - maybe in 3-4 years time. what has hall done to be considered special?

my top 5 would rank in this order -

    1 - champ
    2 - mathis
    3 - smoot
    4 - winfield
5 - hall - along with a few others but the top 4 are exceptional.

DeAngelo Hall is a pathetic professional athlete.

I hate it when players run their mouth.

No wonder his team is getting worse.

(D'Angelo) At Best......you play against subpar DB's. If you can sit there and tell me honestly I play against Subpar recievers week in and week out, I'll just sit here and say okay and go with it. :
(Chad Johnson) Can I ask you a question? Name one subpar DB?
(D'Angelo) Them clowns up in Pittsburgh. Them clowns you ran past in Pittsburgh. Man, I wanted to cry for them. I cant believe dude let you run by him like that.
Well, since he is saying that Chad Johnson plays against subpar DB's and Chad Johnson is supposedly the best WR in the League. I guess that makes Leigh Bodden the best DB in the league.

After all, last season who stopped Chad Johnson. Only Leigh Bodden did.

I totally agree with your list. Ronde Barber is so underrated.

    Deangelo Stupid Hall

Hmm a player in what his 2nd season claiming he is the best CB in the game over a verteran like Champ? YOU GOTTA BE KIDDING ME!!! And little ole champ sits the boy down and says "no really you are the best" I buy that like when Bill Clinton said "I did not have ****** relations with that woman" I MEAN COME ON DUDE!!! You must be smoking something! He is talanted but not nearly the "best in the NFL" I dont even know if he is top 10 calibure... give him a year or two of experiance and maybe... but the best!?!?!? A certain phrase comes to mind... "Pride goeth before the fall"
WHO DOES THIS GUY THINK HE IS???

    My Top 5:

    1. Champ Bailey
    2. Rashean Mathis
    3. Ty Law
    4. Ronde Barber
    5. Nate Clements

Ty Law might have to adjust his physical gameplay down a bit, but he is still a top 5 corner.

150 lbs of pure steel and sex appeal.

No way is Sheldon Brown better than guys like Chris Gamble, D-Hall, or Dre Bly.

And yes Chris Gamble deserves to be in the top 5, just look at the stats:

I would revise my own list and put the other Carolina starting CB Ken Lucas in the top 5 as well. I do think the Panthers have the best corner tandem in the league with Gamble and Lucas.
I replace Newman with Lucas on my list of top 5 corners.

God Bless D. Williams and D. Nash. May their family and friends find peace in knowing that they were both truly loved by all. And they shall never be forgotten.
