    Elvis Dumerville

Just curious. Why the heck is Elvis Dumerville only playing Defensive Tackle! He is playing Defensive Tackle in the Nickel and third team Defensive Tackle in the 4-3.

Isnt he more of a speed rushing end?

This is the only thing that has really confused in camp.

Anyone want to explain this to me

B-Marsh owning Al Harris(Aka: the supposed most physical corner in the league)

He's playing both...................welcome to the NEW nfl..................where players play more than one position. ................Carswell, Curome Cox, Mike Leach, Chuckwurah ( now playing Linebacker and DE) etc.

He has alot of strength and plays with leverage using his long arms. They will move him around the d-line, but I think the main reason he is listed as DT over a DE is depth at those positions. We may not have any super star ends, but we have a strong stable of vets and talent there. DT is very bare once you go beyond Warren an Myers. Dumervil can play DT in a nickel package better than Jackson or Lang, so putting him there gives us alot of speed in that situation. He has better game speed than his combine numbers show, but he still isnt a blazing fast end. For a DT though he would have great speed

Ekuban is also getting reps at DT as well as his usual DE.

Alot of players are situational players..................Even DJ Williams came off the field last year on most third downs. But Dumervil may surprise you a bit Grid.

Well, that could actually be true.....................But, now if he doesn't come back, it will be all the sweeter. Because KC fans still have a place set at their dinner tables for both Roaf and Holmes.
